Natural Alternatives to Plastic Surgery and to Botox is Available

Natural Alternatives to Plastic Surgery and to Botox is Available

Possible Death in exchange for beauty, I donÂ’tÂ’ thing so! There are alternatives and safe choices:

(PRWEB) March 20, 2005

We live in the era of invasive beauty procedures. From surgeries and liposuction to a variety of injections, there are hundreds of treatments designed to help turn back the clock. But often those procedures come with a cost. In the wake of recent news stories detailing the problems resulting in Botox treatments, including six deaths in South Florida alone, The Anti-Aging Clinic longevity center in South Florida offers effective, safer, more natural alternatives.

“We are on the forefront of technology,” says David Tippie, who, along with his wife Stephanie, who herself boasts an international background in high-tech medicine, founded the clinic five years ago, after fifteen years of research and development. “We seek out the best available alternatives to meet the needs of the Baby Boomer generation. As Boomers ourselves, we understand this generation’s concerns and are working to offer a number of health and beauty-oriented alternatives and choices.

ATX: An Alternative to Botox

The Anti-Aging Clinic offers an effective, safe alternative to Botox injections. The Botox alternative, compliments the clinicÂ’s comprehensive, multi-faceted Anti-Aging therapies program that addresses the bodyÂ’s natural aging process and expands upon the natural non-surgical face-lift procedure that has become a success story for the clinic, attracting clients from all over the country. David points out that Botox is the only botulinum toxin product approved for cosmetic use in the United States.

Further, Botox, or Botulinum Toxin Type A, comes from the waste of the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum, the same toxic byproduct that causes botulism food poisoning. “Why someone would gamble on the most dangerous toxin known to man on their faces is unexplainable?” says Stephanie.

“"ATX", for “alternative treatment”, is a unique anti-wrinkle hexapeptide used to reduce the depth of fine lines and wrinkles on the face by inhibiting the contraction of neurotransmitters that cause repeated expression movements of the facial muscles, thus promoting the appearance of smooth skin, especially around the eyes, forehead and mouth. It’s safe and it works,” explains David.

“Extending quality of life while making you as beautiful as you can be, is our mission statement,” says Stephanie Tippie. “Our clinic is about natural alternatives and options that work. You can’t have beauty without first emphasizing health.”

The Importance of Choosing the Best Senior Housing Option

The Importance of Choosing the Best Senior Housing Option

"Health Forum," a production of PTGTV, will produce a special series on assisted living options.

Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) April 23, 2006

Americans have terrible ambivalence about aging: We want seniors to have loving care and family around them, but we don’t always have the time, patience or resources to provide the loving care. Many years ago, aging parents moved in with family when they could no longer function on their own since there were no other options available. But in today’s world, there are many different senior housing options available for those who might need them, including many who do not have relatives nearby.

In recent years, assisted living has become a concept to offer the best of both worlds: independent living with 24-hour access to staff, as people live longer and healthier lives, but may need assistance with problems caused by aging. People can find a community that offers the comforts of home and the security of knowing someone is caring for a loved one 24 hours a day.

"Health Forum," a production of PTGTV, a leading producer of educational programming for the modern market, recognizes the urgency of this subject, and will produce a special series on “The Importance of Choosing the Best Senior Housing Option.”

Selecting the best program or facility is an important, personal, and often difficult decision. Sometimes the selection is the result of deliberate planning, but often the decision happens during a crisis situation. When choosing a facility or program, it is important to decide on the location and types of services that will be needed by the prospective individual. Locating a facility to provide these services can require time and effort. The search for necessary information is certainly worthwhile and will assist you in making an informed decision.

The show will feature those organizations on the cutting edge in providing solutions. Each segment will be the subject of a five-to-seven minute segment written in feature-story format and presented in a visually exciting way.

“The relevance of this series cannot be overstated,“ said Chuck Reich, Creative Director for PTGTV.. “There is nothing more important than providing our viewers solutions that will impact this generation. We are excited to present these options to our TV audience, the viewers of "Health Forum."

In addition to the broadcast exposure of network airings—nationally on Oxygen TV and WE – Women’s Entertainment, and regionally on PAX-TV—PTGTV offers unique media publicity options to enhance the series.

Pilot Culminates in the First LEED-Certified House in Chester County Pennsylvania built by TMG Homes, Inc

Pilot Culminates in the First LEED-Certified House in Chester County Pennsylvania built by TMG Homes, Inc.

TMG Homes Inc. is hosting an open house for the first LEED certified home to be built in Chester County Pennsylvania. A green home uses less energy, water and natural resources. It also creates less waste and is healthier and more comfortable for the occupants. Benefits of a green home include lower energy and water bills, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins.

Glenmoore, PA (PRWEB) March 21, 2008

TMG Homes, Inc., will host an open house on Sunday, April 6, for the first LEED-certified house built in Chester County. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a green building program run by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). In 2005, LEED began piloting a program for residential homes involving about 400 builders across the U. S. TMG Homes is the only builder in Chester County that participated in the pilot and now, with construction completed, is ready to open the house to the public.

"We're very excited to show this house off to the local community," says Chadd Martin, Vice President of TMG Homes. "Interest in green home building is gaining momentum, but there are still a lot of folks who are unsure about the process and the benefits. This house will serve as a model for what a green house looks like and how it works."

A green home uses less energy, water and natural resources. It also creates less waste and is healthier and more comfortable for the occupants. Benefits of a green home include lower energy and water bills, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins.

According to Martin, it is this latter concept that he and partner Torrey Marks will try to impress upon visitors to the open house. "Most people think about the health of the environment when they think about going green," Martin says. "The environment is important, but we also want people to realize that green homes are healthier to live in, as well. And LEED-certified homes represent the absolute highest standard of healthier, more sustainable living."

LEED is a nationally recognized, third-party certification system that's based on measurable results. As such, LEED recognizes the highest quality in green homebuilding. LEED-certified homes are energy efficient, use non-toxic building materials, are water-smart, and respect the environment in which they're constructed. Best of all, these benefits don't come with a hefty price tag -- the net cost of owning a green home is comparable to that of owning a conventional home.

The first LEED-certified house in Chester County is located at 1560 Knob Hill Rd in Chester Springs, PA. Visitors can tour the house and talk with both Martin and Marks on April 6, from 1 p. m. to 4 p. m.

For additional information about the open house or TMG Homes, contact Chadd Martin at (484) 645-7104. You can also find TMG Homes on the Web at http://www. tmggreenhomes. com (http://www. tmggreenhomes. com)

John McEnroe is Serious About Getting Men to Take the "50 Over 50 Prostate Health Challenge"

John McEnroe is Serious About Getting Men to Take the "50 Over 50 Prostate Health Challenge"

Three-time Wimbledon and four-time US Open Champion John McEnroe has teamed up with GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) to create an enlarging prostate public education initiative entitled the "50 Over 50 Prostate Health Challenge."

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 5, 2009

Three-time Wimbledon and four-time US Open Champion John McEnroe has teamed up with GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) to create an enlarging prostate public education initiative entitled the "50 Over 50 Prostate Health Challenge."

Fifty percent of men over 50 years of age have an enlarging prostate; if left untreated, an enlarged prostate can lead to worsening urinary symptoms and even prostate surgery.

"I just celebrated my 50th birthday, and while I'm still as active as ever, I know there are certain health issues I need to stay on top of, including my prostate health," said McEnroe. "Now I'm asking other men to take the '50 Over 50 Prostate Health Challenge.' It's all about talking to your doctor, getting serious about your prostate health, and learning about your risk factors for an enlarging prostate."

As a part of the campaign, an interactive web site, www.50over50challenge. com, has been created where men can start the "Prostate Health Challenge." The challenge is to take three easy steps to get serious about prostate health: a brief online prostate health assessment; seeing a doctor for a prostate exam; and knowing your PSA (Prostate-specific antigen) level. PSA level, obtained from a simple blood test, is a protein marker that can rise when an enlarged prostate condition is present.

McEnroe will also be featured in enlarging prostate public education video messages that will appear throughout the year on network television, internet sites and at 50over50challenge. com (http://www.50over50challenge. com/50-over-50-video-library. html). The first video vignette will air on April 4 in between the first and second games of the men's college basketball semi final on CBS. There will also be national print messages in March and April running in such publications as USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Time and Newsweek.

"Prostate health can be awkward to talk about, so we've created a series of hopefully memorable, vignettes to help get men talking. I am hoping my involvement will be motivational and encourage men to take the Challenge and take control of their prostate health," added McEnroe.

About Enlarging Prostate:
Enlarging prostate (http://www.50over50challenge. com) is a prevalent and progressive condition that affects approximately 50 percent of men over 50 years of age and over 90 percent of men older than age 80. An enlarged prostate can cause changes in urinary habits because of its location around the urethra. Over time, the prostate can continue to grow and urinary symptoms may worsen as the bladder loses the ability to empty itself. Initiating the conversation with your doctor and having a prostate exam can help to identify enlarging prostate symptoms and causes.

GlaxoSmithKline - one of the world's leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies - is committed to improving the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer.
