Actor, Comedian and Author Michael Colyar set to join the 2010 Los Angeles Black Book Expo

The sixth annual Los Angeles Black Book Expo hosts a fun day of activity with authors, panel discussions, spoken word, workshops, children's activities, contests and more!

After great success in movies, standup comedy and lending his voice as a cast member of Disney's, The Princess and the Frog, Michael Colyar will be demanding attention in another industry now. With two books set to come out and take the literary world by storm, Michael will lend his voice and verses to the 2010 Los Angeles Black Book Expo. It is confirmed that Michael Colyar will join this event set to take place at the Sheraton Gateway LAX Hotel on Saturday, August 21 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. With Michael Colyar added to the 2010 roster of events along with other famed and bestselling authors it is sure to be an event that should not be missed.

The annual literary celebration is comprised of panel discussions, workshops, seminars and much more. In 2010, the Board of Directors has made it a goal to make this one of the most memorable events of the Los Angeles Community. This year's expo will feature lively panel discussions and workshops with topics such as publishing, urban lit, health, relationships, cultural issues, spirituality, creative writing and marketing tips for aspiring authors. Poetry, open mics and children's programs will also be included throughout the day.

Featured guests scheduled to appear are keynote speakers are legal expert and author Areva Martin (The Everyday Advocate) who has appeared on The Dr. Phil Show, as well as national stints on Fox News, NPR, and Court TV Radio Television, and Dr. Richard Williams, the recipient of the 2002 Educator, Author, Lecture Award' from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Greater Rochester Commission and the author of They Stole It But You Must Return It and is has been featured on shows such as Oprah and the Black Entertainment Network, Morton Downey Show, and the Oprah Winfrey Show television program.
