(PRWEB) January 31, 2005

The Good Samaritan Hospital Women’s Health Center is sponsoring the RTS Bereavement Training (formerly known as the Resolve Through Sharing program) conference on March 2, 2005 and March 9, 2005, between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm. The two-day training program, held at Good Samaritan Hospital, is designed for healthcare and bereavement professionals of all levels as they seek to learn and enhance their interpersonal and interdisciplinary skills in dealing with families experiencing perinatal loss, including pregnancy loss, stillbirth and newborn death.

Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) has provided perinatal bereavement services to patients, families and health care providers for the past 20 years. The RTS Bereavement Training program is especially intended for nurses and health care providers working in labor and delivery units, post partum units, same day surgery, and neonatal units. The training also provides excellent insight for physicians, physician assistants, social workers, ultrasonographers, clergy and chaplains, and funeral directors.

“When a baby dies, it is a unique, lifelong parenting and bereavement experience. The loss is sudden and unexpected; families have no idea what to do or how to feel," said Pam Magi, Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator for Good Samaritan Hospital. “It is the responsibility of healthcare professionals to possess the knowledge and skills necessary to assist parents and families at time of loss. This theoretical and hands-on training program provides a tool kit of information for everyone working in the healthcare arena.”

In addition to hosting this informational conference, Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to announce it has applied to the New York State NurseÂ’s Association to register this two-day program for 15.3 contact hours, enabling nurses and other heath care practitioners to benefit even more by gaining valuable credits toward their professional certifications.

Attendees of the RTS Bereavement Training conference will learn the History of RTS and the role of Interdisciplinary Teams in dealing with perinatal loss. The coursework covers a wide array of information including how to communicate effectively and compassionately with families, the principles of grief counseling, standards of conduct for dealing with families and how men and women grieve differently. All participants will learn how to discuss the role of interdisciplinary teams with grieving families; how to choose the appropriate interventions when responding to families dealing with pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death; and how to address and counsel children who have been affected by the loss.

In addition to this two-day training seminar, Good Samaritan serves as leader in perinatal medicine by providing year-round GSH Perinatal Bereavement support services in the areas of Miscarriage and Ectopic Pregnancy, Stillborn and Neonatal Death, Heartbreaking Choice, Moving forward (Subsequent Pregnancy), Grandparent/ Family/Friends, and Hope and Healing/Pediatric Loss.

The GSH Perinatal Bereavement Program sponsors community-building annual events including “Walk to Remember,” and Holiday Candle Lighting Services. A newsletter, “Hope and Healing” is written by the parents, and published once a year, providing a wonderful source of healing and comfort.

How to Register:

Attendees may register by mail, submitting their contact information (name, address, city, state, zip code, place of employment, profession/department, and telephone number) and a check payable to Good Samaritan Hospital for the registration fee ($50 for GHS employees and $125 for all other participants). Registrations should be sent to Pam Magi, RN, Bereavement Coordinator, Good Samaritan Hospital, 255 Lafayette Ave. (Route 59), Suffern, New York 10901. The registration fee includes the cost of the Bereavement Manual and breakfast on both conference days. Directions to the hospital can be found on GSHÂ’s website, www. goodsamhosp. org.

Name Game is Latest Ploy to Discourage Drug Importation

Name Game is Latest Ploy to Discourage Drug Importation

FDA warning about drug name confusion is a poorly masked attempt to further anti-drug importation agenda.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) January 24, 2006

What's in a name? According to the FDA, when it comes to drug names, you can never be too sure. The U. S. Food and Drug Administration recently issued a warning claiming that there is a strong likelihood of medication mix-ups when buying drugs from outside the United States because several drugs have similar sounding names, but have very different ingredients.

Dr. Paul Zickler, President of DoctorSolve Healthcare Solutions (www. doctorsolve. com), an online pharmacy service, and Vice President of Medical Affairs for CIPA (Canadian International Pharmacy Association) dismisses this latest alert as yet another FDA scare tactic to stop cross-border drug shopping. “If the international pharmacy has the correct checks and balances in place, there is no need to be concerned about this happening,” he states.

While acknowledging that there is an issue concerning the names of drugs, Zickler maintains that reputable online pharmacy services like DoctorSolve are taking steps to ensure that “drugs from them are as safe as drugs from your corner pharmacy.”

“At DoctorSolve, we personally tour all our pharmacies and provide them with a complete list of the medications we will be ordering from them. Each drug is listed with its brand name and its chemical name -- which is the same around the world regardless of where the drug originates, and its generic name if applicable. Medications from our pharmacies are randomly tested each month, and the results posted on our website. We have never had a case of counterfeit medication,” he emphasizes.

As fodder for its report, the FDA cites an example of a Serbian pharmacist who provided a tourist with an incorrect drug refill after the patient ran out of medication. “This is clearly a case of pharmacy error, not a case for why one shouldn't buy meds from international suppliers,” states Zickler. “If the pharmacist had a valid prescription, or even provided the refill from an empty pill bottle, which would have had the drug's proper brand name and chemical name on it, this never would have happened. That's why at DoctorSolve, no drug order is filled without a valid doctor's prescription, which is confirmed and reviewed by a licensed pharmacist. In addition, all of our medications are double checked to make sure they are correctly labeled and have clear instructions for proper use.”

While it's important for patients to know the proper names of their drugs, it's more important that they get them through a pharmacy service they know and trust. For many, that means shopping across the border. “In addition to saving an average of 40% on their prescriptions, our patients know we always have their best interests at heart. Unlike some government agencies, we've never played games with them, and we never will.”

DoctorSolve, a Canadian Internet-based pharmacy intermediary (license #BC Q37), offers lower-cost, long-term prescriptions. A professionally registered pharmacist fills all prescriptions. A certified member of the Canadian International Pharmacy Association, DoctorSolve is ranked as one of the best online pharmacies by PharmacyChecker. com. DoctorSolve has filled more than 200,000 U. S. prescriptions.

Demand for Hospital Administration Job Info Follows Healthcare IT Initiative

Demand for Hospital Administration Job Info Follows Healthcare IT Initiative

With the U. S. government's 2007 advancement of the Healthcare Information Technology Initiative, demand for career information is strong, says FindTheRightSchool. com, a resource for healthcare degree seekers. The new nationwide healthcare information management system promises career opportunities in healthcare administration will continue to expand for individuals with proper healthcare administration degrees.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) February 7, 2007

As 2007 ushers in the nationwide Healthcare and Information Technology Initiative, employment opportunities in hospital and healthcare administration will continue to grow, says FindTheRightSchool. com, a one-stop online education tool for campus-based and online degree programs.

The site presents prospective students with information about associate, bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees in healthcare administration or healthcare management to help students enter careers at the crossroads between healthcare and information technology (IT). (http://www. FindTheRightSchool. com (http://www. FindTheRightSchool. com))

According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, healthcare is the second fastest growing sector of the U. S. economy, employing over 12 million workers. Amid rapid growth in this ever-changing industry, the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services is pushing the Healthcare Information Technology Initiative that will generate the need for even more healthcare managers and administrators to oversee the flow of an electronic health record system.

As the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services propels the Healthcare IT initiative, the White House acknowledges growth in the healthcare industry. After the president's most recent State of the Union Address, Elaine Chao, Secretary of Labor, stated that "there are a number of industries that are expected to expand rapidly and create new jobs in this decade." Healthcare is among the four industries she describes.

The healthcare administration industry remains in need of administrators and managers, and individuals with business and management skills should enjoy the best opportunities, according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics cites that in 2004 there were 175,000 individuals employed as medical and health services managers. This number will likely grow by an astounding 26.1 percent through 2014. In the high-paying field of healthcare administrators, qualified individuals can advance to positions of greater responsibility including chief executive officer of a major healthcare facility.

During a time of nationwide changes in healthcare structure and financing, FindTheRightSchool. com (http://www. FindTheRightSchool. com (http://www. FindTheRightSchool. com))

Provides prospective students with up-to-date information regarding both campus-based and online healthcare administration degree and healthcare management degree programs.

FindTheRightSchool. com is a one-stop education resource for online and campus degree programs. Students can easily research career-track programs in business, accounting, marketing, technology, management, education, nursing and more.

Research and Markets: Luxury Consumers' Personal Confidence Rose in Fourth Quarter, but Doubts About the Economy as a Whole Kept Luxury Consumption Index Flat

Research and Markets: Luxury Consumers' Personal Confidence Rose in Fourth Quarter, but Doubts About the Economy as a Whole Kept Luxury Consumption Index Flat

Research and Markets (researchandmarkets. com/reports/c15677) has announced the addition of Luxury Gifting (Luxury Tracking Report 4Q2004)) to their offering.

(PRWEB) April 15, 2005

Research and Markets (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c15677 (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c15677)) has announced the addition of Luxury Gifting (Luxury Tracking Report 4Q2004)) to their offering.

In today's hyper-competitive environment, market research is not an option; it is a necessity. Luxury marketers that want to win must stay vigilant in tracking the shifts, turns, and changing preferences in their affluent consumer market. They need up-to-the-minute data, as well as a historical perspective, to anticipate the next major luxury business opportunity or branding challenge.

This report is part of the Luxury Consumer Tracking Service designed for luxury marketers who need to know all there is to know about their consumer market. Beginning in January 2004, and every three months thereafter, the pulse of the affluent consumers in a longitudinal survey of 600-to-750 affluent consumer households has been measured. Every quarter luxuries bought during the past quarter, how much they spent, where they bought, the luxury brands they became aware of and used, and how they felt about their current and prospective financial status was tracked.

Luxury consumers expressed mixed messages about consumer confidence at the beginning of 2005. While luxury consumers (average income $136.5k) felt positive about their personal financial status and spent more on luxuries in the fourth quarter 2004, they expressed strong doubts in the financial well-being of the economy as a whole which held down the Luxury Consumption Index to 95.6 points. That represents a.4 decline from the third quarter and down 7.1 points from 2004's high of 102.7 at the end of the second quarter.

On a year-to-year basis, the Luxury Consumption Index was down 4.4 points at the end of 2004, from its baseline of 100 points in December 2003. The Luxury Consumption Index measures the luxury consumers' feelings and attitudes about their financial well-being. But along with the general malaise felt among many luxury consumers about the future economy over the next twelve months, there were bright spots in this quarter's luxury consumer tracking.

According to the report overall, the demand for luxury goods and services looks good in the short-term, however, the outlook for intermediate-term (beyond six months) looks cloudy due to two factors. One is the uncertainty engendered by the Bush budget, especially the tax outlook. Second, increasing mergers and acquisitions activity in such arenas as telecommunications and pharmaceuticals gives an uncertain employment outlook for thousands of highly-paid executives and administrators in the affected firms.

This benchmark index of luxury buyers is calculated form a sample of over 700 upper-income households throughout the United States. This panel, with household incomes over $75,000 (one-third $150,000 or more) represents one of the largest longitudinal studies of high-end luxury consumption of goods and services. Panelists reported purchasing behavior of luxury goods and services over the past three months, as well as attitudinal and expectation data about luxury brands and categories, their households and the health of the economy in general.

Topics covered in the report include:

-Luxury Gifting

-Luxury Tracking Study Topline Findings: Luxury Consumers' Personal

-Home Luxury Purchases: Detail Findings on Home Luxury Purchases

-Personal Luxury Purchases

-Experiential Luxury Purchases

Men Who Want Bigger Muscles And More Energy Bring In The New Year With New Test Juice 1000

Men Who Want Bigger Muscles And More Energy Bring In The New Year With New Test Juice 1000

Keeping a New Year's resolution to work out longer and harder to build those muscles will be easier in 2008 for men that use a new innovative product called Test Juice 1000.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) March 3, 2008

Keeping a New Year's resolution to work out longer and harder to build those muscles will be easier in 2008 for men that use a new innovative product called Test Juice 1000.

With exercise and healthier eating being two of the main focuses in New Year resolutions each year, it's no wonder Test Juice 1000 attracts the attention of body builders and athletes across the United States. Test Juice 1000 is a new, powerful alternative to steroids that increases testosterone levels to allow the gain of muscle mass quickly and to promote increased energy for men to work out longer and more easily than ever.

An online company called Advanced Strength Nutrition (ASN) provides easy access to learn more about Test Juice 1000 and its ingredients through a Web site called TestJuice1000.com. Muscle builders can easily read about every key ingredient used to make the product, including its main ingredient, Tongkat Ali. Tongkat Ali is a powerful ancient Asian supplement that boosts testosterone levels safely.

Test Juice 1000 contains a setabolic growth complex of 775 mg with the following ingredients: Mucuna Pruriens, Tribulus Terrestris, Tongkat Ali, Tesofen (TM), Epimedium, Dehydroepiandrosterone, and L-Arginine. It also contains a RAB(2) enhancing matrix of 625 mg and other ingredients as outlined at the ASN Web site.

Many athletes and weight trainers are attracted to Test Juice 1000 because it is all natural. This reduces the risk of side effects while giving the body a tremendous boost of testosterone. Other benefits include better focus, increased stamina, and better sexual performance.

One thing that sets ASN apart from many is the company's willingness to share all the facts about its product with the consumer. ASN does not hesitate to let the consumer know exactly which all-natural ingredients are used to create Test Juice 1000, so body builders and athletes can make an informed choice.

"Instead of adding filler ingredients along with only one or two good ingredients, we've created a ground-breaking combination of ingredients that will increase testosterone and boost libido," states
Richard Barnes.

Test Juice 1000 attracts athletic sponsors such as Neil Champtagnie. Champtagnie asks, "Does Test Juice really work? Just look at my physique.... enough said!" Another sponsored athlete, Bill Vaughn, says, "It's the first thing I take when I wake up (in) the morning, and the last thing I take before I go to bed at night. Test Juice goes hand-in-hand with my diet. I depend on my diet to consistently provide me with the proper nutrients; and I depend on Test Juice to consistently provide me with increasing strength and endurance."

These athletes and many others who want to build muscles and strength are getting a great start in 2008 with Test Juice 1000. ASN also recently released Ultimate Cut 5000, an all-natural fat burner that speeds up the metabolism. It is endorsed by Winky Rigth.

More information is available at the Web address below:
