Maas Global Solutions Corporation today announced it has signed a TPO Marketing Agreement with TSYS Merchant Solutions, LLC and will begin to offer their full suite of credit card processing services to U. S.-based businesses beginning immediately.

Las Vegas, NV (Vocus/PRWEB) January 20, 2011

This commitment is part of Maas Global Solutions’ corporate strategy to create a high volume, highly available and imminently secure transaction-processing platform dedicated to providing state of the art transaction processing services to businesses around the world. This new relationship will also enable MGS to offer its Agents, Sub-ISO’s and our own base of customer’s additional payment network connectivity options while keeping our rates universally competitive. The addition of TSYS Merchant Solutions’ processing services further expands the best-in-class capabilities of our wholly owned and operated Paymentsite Payment Platform and facilitates the delivery of the Company’s innovative electronic payment solutions, further strengthening MGS’s position as a major player in the Transaction Processing industry.

This agreement with TSYS Merchant Solutions offers MGS, and by extension, our partners and customers the following:
A more complete range of payment processing solutions that enables the targeting of a wide range of businesses  Comprehensive sponsorship into all the major payment card networks  Connectivity to the FNA network for authorizations via the Internet and TSYS for authorizations via terminal solutions.  Online Application support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of new account set-ups  Faster application approvals  State-of-the-art underwriting and risk monitoring technologies

In support of this new relationship, MGS offers a multi use Online Application where brick and mortar and online merchants can quickly and easily sign up to accept Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, American Express® and/or ACH / Check processing services along with Paymentsite, our proprietary Payment Gateway & Virtual Terminal.

Paymentsite connects businesses to the TSYS Merchant Solutions Payment Processing network and provides the secure and reliable infrastructure necessary for safe and accurate transmission of transaction data. In the retail environment, Paymentsite operates just like a traditional point of sale credit card terminal however it connects via the Internet instead of a phone line. Unlike simple credit card terminals that may only connect to a PIN pad for Debit transactions, Paymentsite also supports check readers to automate acceptance of paper checks in both the front and back office.

Merchants log into a secure Paymentsite web site to generate reports, manage transactions, view and configure account settings, review account statements and much more. There is no software to buy or maintain and the cost is generally less than most merchants pay to rent a credit card terminal.

MGS has also developed “purpose built” payment portals for schools, property managers and B2B businesses that operate in both the retail and ecommerce environments.

About Maas Global Solutions (MGS): has been providing transaction-processing solutions since 1989 where we participated in the pre-Internet small network world by installing networks, hardware and software solutions as well as custom software development for both retail and wholesale business models. Throughout the initial Internet growth period we integrated business systems, processes and external partner systems into a common fabric leveraging the Internet as part of the network. Today, we are actively participating in the second wave of Internet growth - the formalization of the Internet as a strategic part of any company infrastructure.

In the late 1990’s Troy Maas, our founder with his team of engineers built the LinkPoint Payment Gateway for Cardservice International, the first truly high volume, high availability Internet Payment Gateway that is now the First Data Global Gateway. MGS brought the key players from that effort back together to build the Paymentsite product set focused on bringing market success to both MGS and our reseller partners.

MGS owns and operates a technologically advanced data center that is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level I, SAS 70 and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certified, with a 2nd fail-over data center capable of maintaining operations.

The Div50

The Div50 is a classification that represents the top 50 small businesses in Maryland in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, food service and professional services. New Healthy Diet Book Aims to Combat Obesity and Eliminate the Need for Diet Pills

New Healthy Diet Book Aims to Combat Obesity and Eliminate the Need for Diet Pills

An alternative healthy weight-loss book promoting the ‘Mediterranean Diet’ has recently been launched to try and help fight the increasing number of obese people in Britain and America.

London, UK (PRWEB) June 6, 2006

An alternative healthy weight-loss book promoting the ‘Mediterranean Diet’ has recently been launched to try and help fight the increasing number of obese people in Britain and America.

Obesity is now recognised as a serious problem affecting many populations around the world. In fact the governments in Great Britain, Europe and the US have put it, and its associated conditions such as ‘type 2 diabetes’, at the top of their public health agendas. The news that obesity-related procedures have quadrupled since 2000 as well as recent stories such as the 34 stone teenage girl from Scotland who last week underwent radical stomach surgery have highlighted the gravity of the situation.

But how will these governments deal with this problem? By promoting healthy meals? Emphasising the benefits of a daily exercise routine? Banning the advertising of ‘junk food’? No! As always they look to the money hungry vultures that run the pharmaceutical industry to develop another new ‘wonder drug’.

In fact, a newly developed anti-obesity pill that market observers say could become the world's biggest-selling drug is close to getting approval from the European Commission. They are predicting sales of over 4 billion dollars by the year 2010 and of course a large portion of this money will go straight to the governments’ back pockets via taxes. This product is basically a form of stealth tax designed to target a number of heavily over-weight populations.

"In the blue sky scenario, this could become the world's best-selling drug as the indication is so broad". "It has a path to revenues that we rarely ever see from a pharma product."… A recent quote from a top pharmaceutical executive.

Will these new pills offer a long term solution to obesity though? This is extremely unlikely and we have also yet to here what the side effects of taking this pill will be. Watch this space!

The good news, however, is that there is an alternative for those people searching for a healthy way to lose weight. It comes in the form of a Mediterranean Diet. This nutritional concept includes a high consumption of fruit, vegetables, fish and grains, a medium consumption of olive oil and a low consumption of red meat, dairy products and saturated fats.

The Mediterranean diet is probably the most realistic and safest way not only to lose weight, but to also help prevent serious diseases such as cancer and heart disease. In fact the ‘American Heart Association’ refers to the ‘Mediterranean Diet’ as the ‘gold standard’ in heart disease prevention and could greatly reduce the numbers of cardiovascular disease sufferers which currently runs at over 72 million in America alone. The most recent research has also shown that the Mediterranean diet also appears to reduce the risk for Alzheimer's disease.

Subscribers to this new book will be able to unlock the little known secrets of healthy weight-loss by implementing this simple but highly effective dieting strategy. They will be taught how to lose weight permanently without the use of drugs, ‘fad’ diets and weight-loss pills.

Unlike other versions of the Mediterranean diet, this one has been specially designed to fully maximise its benefits by providing an easy step by step plan that absolutely anyone can use.

Mayo Clinic Announces Startling New Sinus Discovery

Mayo Clinic Announces Startling New Sinus Discovery

Researchers at Mayo Clinic have published a new finding that explains why sinus disease persists despite so many new drugs.

(PRWEB) August 10, 2005

Jens Panikau, sinus researcher at Mayo Clinic, has published a new finding that explains why sinus disease persists despite so many new drugs. Dr Panikau found that the main cause of sinus symptoms was that the eosinophiles – your special cells that defend your body against infection, - get into the mucus and produce a toxic product called MBP that is made in order to kill bacteria. Unfortuantely, among sinus sufferers, there is an excess of this MBP in the mucus that also damages the cells of the nose and impairs its ability to sweep bacteria out of the nose. Dr Panikau shows that it is the MBP that makes the patient sick, with fever, pain, fatigue, and secondary infections. This is welcome news for the 30 million sinus sufferers who have resisted therapy. This research opens a better way to diagnose and treat chronic sinusitis, and reduce the annual 300,000 sinus surgeries that are needed.

Actually Dr Panikau is not the first to recognize that toxic products in the nasal mucus are a significant factor in sinus disease. The authors he quotes, Meltzer and Kaliner have previously written on the value of using pulsatile irrigation to clear the mucus that impairs nasal cilia function.

The Hydro Pulse® Nasal Sinus Irrigation System, from Health Solutions Medical Products Corp., provides a simple means of cleansing the nose and sinuses of stale and toxic mucus and restoring the normal defense of nasal cilia movement. When the cilia move, they move the toxic products out of the nose and sinuses. This Mayo research shows proof of the value of these methods, and gives a system of actually measuring the toxic product. Instead of guessing a diagnosis of sinus disease, now the physician can measure the actual MBP level in the nose. This will reduce the need for sinus x rays as well.

What should the current sinus patient do? As pointed out by Meltzer and others, adequate hydration is important. The more hot tea you drink, the thinner and more dilute the mucus and the easier it is for the nose to move these products away. Because the mucus is often thick and sticky, pulsatile irrigation is recommended by these authors because it is shown to be 100x more effective in removing these products, as well as being effective in restoring nasal cilia function.

This Mayo research will now direct specialists to faster and better treatment for the scourge of sinusitis.

The Jens Panikau article, Striking deposition of toxic eosinophil major basic protein in mucus: Implications for chronic rhinosinusitis appeared in the August 05 issue of the Journal of Allergy and Immunology.

Dedication to Serving Others Earns Prestigious Honors

Dedication to Serving Others Earns Prestigious Honors

For Jim May and his son Michael, serving others has always been a driving motive in their lives. Although this father-son duo has led very different lives, each has managed to use the values of dedication, commitment and purpose to reach the top of his field. Recently, each of them has been honored for the contributions they have made in their respective fields.

Gilbert, AZ (Vocus) July 8, 2010

For Jim May and his son Michael, serving others has always been a driving motive in their lives. Although this father-son duo has led very different lives, each has managed to use the values of dedication, commitment and purpose to reach the top of his field. Recently, each of them has been honored for the contributions they have made in their respective fields.

Jim May has quietly started a food revolution in the U. S. With his personal mission of preventing childhood obesity and diabetes, he waged a triumphant battle against government bureaucracy to bring the all-natural sugar alternative, stevia, to the United States. May began importing stevia to the U. S. in 1982, and challenged a number of government regulations over the years before becoming the first company to receive GRAS status from the FDA for a line of stevia products under the name SweetLeaf Stevia® Sweetener. For his lifelong efforts, he was recently awarded the illustrious Lifetime Achievement Award at the Stevia World Europe conference in Geneva, Switzerland. Today, after years of challenges, his dream has become a reality as SweetLeaf™ is now the only 100% all-natural stevia sweetener with zero calories, zero carbs and zero glycemic index on the market. It is available in thousands of stores across the country and has already begun helping Americans live healthier, happier lives.

Meanwhile, his son, Dr. Michael May, Associate Professor of Leadership and War Strategy, has dedicated his life to the real battlefields of today’s world but remains connected to his father by using the same sense of commitment and purpose that his father instilled in him as a child. Inspired by his father’s determination to achieve a lifelong dream, Michael chose to live his life according to the same principles. Serving as a professor of military history and strategy for the Air Force, he shares those values while teaching the men and women who protect our country subjects such as cyberspace and air warfare, leadership development, and military strategy. In recognition of his impressive work and leadership, Michael was recently presented the prestigious Air Command and Staff College Civilian Educator of the Year Award. This honor recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the Air Education and Training Command’s educational mission. Dr. May teaches officers from various military services throughout the United States and its allies around the world.

However, the story of this father and son goes much deeper than honors or awards. When asked about his father, Michael simply says, “I have the greatest dad in the world. Growing up, he was my best friend.” Jim May says that Michael “is the son every father hopes for: intelligent, compassionate, honorable and accomplished – a truly good man, husband and father.” These two men have a loving relationship that all fathers and sons should aspire to. They are a reminder to all about the importance of putting others first.

Both father and son graduated from Brigham Young University, Jim in 1960 (business administration) and Michael in 1998 (history). Michael received his PhD in Military History from Kansas State University in 2005.

Genomic Study Shows Organic Skin Care Product Activates Key Anti-Aging Gene

Genomic Study Shows Organic Skin Care Product Activates Key Anti-Aging Gene

A recent study using state-of-the-art genetic testing shows that an all natural skin care product called Ambra-Lift™ by Elina™ Organics activates Sirtuin-1, a key anti-aging gene. Until now only Resveratrol, a substance found in the skin of grapes and red wine, has been known to naturally stimulate Sirtuin-1 in humans. Ambra-Lift™ contains no Resveratrol.

Kalamazoo, MI (PRWEB) March 26, 2009

A recent study using state-of-the-art genetic testing shows that an all natural skin care product called Ambra-Lift™ (http://www. elinaskincare. com/prod5.php) by Elina™ Organics (http://www. elinaskincare. com) activates Sirtuin-1, a key anti-aging gene. Until now only Resveratrol, a substance found in the skin of grapes and red wine, has been known to naturally stimulate Sirtuin-1 in humans. Ambra-Lift™ contains no Resveratrol.

The scientific study shows that Ambra-Lift™ stimulates Sirtuin-1 by using one of the latest genomic testing tools available. It's called quantitative real time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and is able to imeasure genes turned "on" or "off" by skin care products like Ambra-Lift™.

The genomic test results for Ambra-Lift™ are compelling:
Elina Ambra-Lift™ increases the expression of Sirtuin-1, a key anti-aging gene, in a statistically significant way. Elina Ambra-Lift™activates the expression of specific collagens, keratins and matrix genes that promote anti-wrinkle effects in a statistically significant way, Elina Ambra-Lift™ activates anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory genes involved in protective cellular mechanisms in a statistically significant way. Exposure to Elina Ambra-Lift™ produces statistically significant changes in 47 out of 91 genes tested over a 48-hour period. Please Click here (http://www. elinaskincare. com/img/Elina_Study1_Summary_Nov_08.pdf) to see the complete research results.

"This genomic study demonstrates how my organic formulation interacts with the biology of the skin," says Elina Fedotova (http://www. elinaskincare. com/about_elina. php), CEO of Elina Organics. "I'm so excited to see that hard science proves that Ambra-Lift™ has definite anti-aging properties that help rejuvenate and improve the skin."

While Ambra-Lift™ contains no Resveratrol, one of its key ingredients is Baltic Amber. The healing properties of Baltic Amber have been known for ages. Roman ladies of the court used to play with it, holding it in their hands and stroking it to maintain a youthful look. In addition to Baltic Amber, Ambra-Lift™ contains other beneficial ingredients including Sea Buckthorn Oil, Soybean Lecithin Liposomes, Amino Acids, Vitamins C, A, and E; Coenzyme Q-10, and extracts of the finest organic botanicals.

"While other products may show instant lifting properties, it's mostly a temporary effect, achieved by chemicals that cause the skin to swell and stretch for a few hours," says Elina. "Elina Ambra-Lift™ uses no artificial chemicals. Its powerful blend of all natural nutrients and antioxidants, along with its patent-pending extract of Baltic Amber, provide immediate as well as long-term effects that energize cells and stimulate the skin to become more firm and supple."

New York's Continuum Health Partners Exclusively Selects eClinicalWorks : Agreement will Bring Electronic Medical Records System to Approximately 3300 Employed and Volunteer Providers; Streamlined Solution to Enhance Care throughout New York City

New York's Continuum Health Partners Exclusively Selects eClinicalWorks : Agreement will Bring Electronic Medical Records System to Approximately 3300 Employed and Volunteer Providers; Streamlined Solution to Enhance Care throughout New York City

EClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Continuum Health Partners, the largest nonprofit health system in New York City, has exclusively selected eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) software for its 1200 employed physicians, 1100 residents and 1000 volunteer physicians along with eClinicalWorks Electronic Health eXchange (eEHX). Use of eClinicalWorks software will provide better communication between practices and will foster improved patient care at a reduced cost.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (PRWEB) November 4, 2008

This exclusive deal is comprised of three components: physicians that accept Medicaid and meet the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's (NYCDOHMH) criteria under its Primary Care Information Project (PCIP); employed physicians that fall outside of that criterion; and volunteer physicians. In April 2007, the NYCDOHMH and eClinicalWorks announced a $19.8 million deal to bring EMRs to physicians meeting specified criteria as part of its PCIP initiative (http://www. eclinicalworks. com/pr-newyork. php (http://www. eclinicalworks. com/pr-newyork. php)). As an extension of that contract, Continuum physicians that fall under those guidelines will be able to receive the software through a deal between Continuum and the NYCDOHMH. eClinicalWorks will also integrate with Continuum's Siemens Eagle registration, GE Centricity Flowcast, Soft Lab and GE Centricity Imagecast systems to further automate healthcare quality and reliability.

"Continuum Health Partners has several disparate systems across its locations," said Bonnie Sessa, CIO of Continuum Health Partners. "eClinicalWorks will enable us to remove them and create a streamlined solution throughout the community. After a year and a half review process, we selected eClinicalWorks for the sophistication and ease-of-use of its system along with the opportunities it allows by eliminating redundant software."

Continuum will implement eClinicalWorks unified EMR/PM system with the goals of streamlining the clinical processes and promoting patient safety while reducing costs. Using eEHX will create a community record that will enable physicians to have access to patients' vital health information and allow physicians to exchange data more effectively.

"Continuum is one of the most recognized health systems for its patient care initiatives," said Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. "Being selected by Continuum is a testament to the success of the PCIP and other community projects. eClinicalWorks is proud to have been selected by a health system as prestigious as Continuum and looks forward to offering its physicians a transparent view of its patients' health records, allowing them to provide an optimal level of care."

Continuum Health Partners is a nonprofit hospital system in New York City that is comprised of five distinguished hospitals: Beth Israel Medical Center, Roosevelt Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Long Island College Hospital and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Continuum was named to the 2008 list of 100 Most Wired Hospitals and Health Systems by Hospital & Health Systems magazine.

About Continuum Health Partners

Continuum Health Partners was created in January 1997 as the parent company for the partnership between four distinguished voluntary hospitals: Beth Israel Medical Center-Milton and Carroll Petrie Division, Beth Israel Medical Center-Kings Highway Division, St. Luke's Hospital and Roosevelt Hospital. Building upon the strength of these institutions, Continuum began the development of a broad-based, integrated health services network extending throughout the New York metropolitan region. Within two years, Long Island College Hospital of Brooklyn, located in the Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill section, and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, located on Second Avenue and 14th Street in Manhattan and the oldest specialty hospital in the Western Hemisphere, joined the Continuum family, broadening the influence of each member institution and the partnership as a whole.

Today, Continuum has an annual operating budget of almost $3 billion and delivers inpatient care in six major hospital facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Continuum network also encompasses ambulatory health centers and group and private practice settings throughout the New York metropolitan region. Continuum operates more than 2,700 certified beds; provides for over 650,000 days of inpatient care and over 1.3 million outpatient visits; has more than 4,500 affiliated physicians; and a work force of over 15,500 individuals, making it the sixth largest private employer in the New York metropolitan region. Device Measures Employees’ Use of Soap or Sanitizer During Patient Interactions

Pittsburgh, PA (Vocus) May 7, 2010

A novel electronic device developed by an Allegheny General Hospital (http://www. wpahs. org/) (AGH) physician and similar to that used in Turnpike toll booths may be an effective and practical way to monitor the hand hygiene compliance of health care workers, according to a study published in the May issue of the journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology. The article is available online at http://www. journals. uchicago. edu/toc/iche/current (http://www. journals. uchicago. edu/toc/iche/current).

Pioneered by Andrew Sahud, MD, Chairman of the Infection Prevention Committee at AGH, the Semmelweis Hand Hygienometer incorporates use of a pager size data receptor worn by an employee that communicates with a monitor attached to patient room entry ways and adjacent soap dispensers. The device records whether soap or a sanitizer was used as the employee entered and exited the room.

In the study, researchers compared the device’s results with information on employee hand hygiene practices obtained through direct observation. The Hygienometer was worn for four weeks by medical interns and registered nurses. The researchers found that the technology was effective, recording compliance rates similar to those assessed through direct observation.

“As hospitals and healthcare workers confront increasingly virulent strains of bacteria, there is a sense of urgency among physicians and institutions to address these complications and reduce the rates of transmission,” Dr. Sahud said. “Innovative ideas are desperately needed to improve hand hygiene compliance, reduce infection rates and save lives.”

“Our device is unique in that it acts like a hand hygiene pedometer,” said Dr. Sahud. “We hope this method of monitoring will eventually be embraced by the medical community as a way of increasing self-awareness and as a motivational tool. Our goal is to make hand hygiene habitual and automatic.”

In addition to Sahud, study authors included infectious disease specialist Nitin Bhanot, MD, MPH; hospitalist Harish Manyam, MD; medical residents Anita Radhakrishnan, MD, and Rajinder Bajwa, MD, and J. Christopher Post, MD, Ph. D., President and Scientific Director, Allegheny-Singer Research Institute.

According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hand hygiene remains the single most effective way of stopping the spread of hospital acquired infections, yet compliance rates among healthcare professionals nationwide are generally low. Studies show that just 35-40 percent of healthcare professionals follow recommended hand hygiene protocols.

An effective system of monitoring hand hygiene and enforcing accountability by empowering healthcare providers with their own data could significantly increase hand hygiene rates, Dr. Sahud said. Further research might investigate whether the device could also be used by employees as a behavior modification tool, much as someone might use a pedometer to motivate themselves to exercise more.

The Semmelweis Hand Hygienometer uses radio frequency technology that was developed in the 1930s and now widely used in interstate highway toll collection (EZ-Pass), parking garages and retail inventory tracking.

The device is named for Ignaz Semmelweis, who in 1846 instituted hand hygiene as a means of limiting the spread of puerperal fever in Vienna.

Health Care Bill Will Help Struggling States

Health Care Bill Will Help Struggling States

The State Net Capitol Journal reports that the health care reform measures under consideration in Congress would also serve as a second fiscal stimulus package for cash-strapped states.

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2009

The 1,990-page health care bill recently passed by the House is more than just a major reformation of the nation’s health care system, it is a $23.5 billion holiday season gift to states to help them meet the growing costs of Medicaid, which provides medical coverage for the poor. This little-noticed provision is in reality a hidden federal stimulus.

As SNCJ’s Lou Cannon reports, the latest round of federal largess would be much welcomed in the states, which are confronting looming budget gaps for 2010 and beyond. Thirty-nine states already have cut spending, 22 have raised taxes, and 18 have tapped rainy-day funds or other reserves. But Cannon also notes that the bill has its worrisome elements as well.

“What the federal government gives, it can also take away,” Cannon reports. “The health care bill, as it passed the House, would require the states, beginning in 2015, to pay 9 percent of the cost of new Medicaid enrollees, adding billions of dollars to state costs.”

To get the full story, check out the new issue of the State Net Capitol Journal on the State Net Web site at www. statenet. com.

YourCity. MD's City Health Directory Portals Put Local TV Broadcasters in a Position to Dominate Local Healthcare Revenues, From the Web!

YourCity. MD's City Health Directory Portals Put Local TV Broadcasters in a Position to Dominate Local Healthcare Revenues, From the Web!

The web shift to "local" is on, as YourCity. MD announced today a new opportunity for TV Broadcasters to partner with them in any U. S. city, giving local TV broadcasters the Use of their Exclusive, New, "Local", One-Click Relief Center Search Engine for Healthcare.

Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) September 21, 2009

More local TV stations line up to partner with the #1 .MD Healthcare portal in their cities, nationwide. TV Broadcasters have been looking for an entree into the healthcare /medical market and are discovering their fortunes may lie on the web. Joe Benza, CEO of YourCity. MD announced today, "Louisville. MD has an agreement in principle with station WDRB-TV, Louisville, KY." In only three weeks marketing his new product, Benza signed up the Cordillera Broadcasting Group, with flagship station WLEX18 TV in Lexington, KY and now the flagship of Block Broadcasting as well. Benza goes on to say, "We are also in preliminary discussions with 6 other Broadcasting Groups representing over 100 other cities and expect to be signing new city TV partnerships every month for the next year. It seems timing and the re-invention of the One-Click Relief Center search engine, which matches conditions and symptoms (with just ONE-Click) to local doctors, local specialists, health news, dr. recommended articles, local hospitals and local pharmacies has excited the Broadcasters. TV General Managers are planning to capitalize on the vibrant healthcare industry by branding their new city portals with heavy promotion and mentions during local health segments, a sure way to increase share of voice in the Health field. Virtually owning a city's #1 healthcare portal, with an easy to remember city name was never an option until today," said Benza.

Desperate to replace the millions of dollars in lost auto and other advertising revenues, broadcast groups are scrambling to find alternative, digital revenue solutions. However, they are finding this new revenue landscape difficult to traverse.

Driven by necessity and new technology, Broadcasters are migrating to web based verticals (categories like healthcare, auto and travel) with little understanding of how to be successful. The reason for the shift to the web is clear, yet many TV Digital Directors and GM's don't yet understand the need to brand "local verticals" to become the new "Big Revenue Winners".

Broadcasters are starting to understand the viewer's desire and need for the phenomenon known as "LOCAL SEARCH" which is proving to be the new KEY to Internet Revenue Success Internet revenue success, especially in healthcare. Healthcare is local, yet the large search engines and other aggregators resolve information from all over the world making it difficult for doctors and patients to find local information. Patients want healthcare information matched to local doctors and community facilities. "The new One-Click Relief Center Search Engine invented by our YourCity. MD team, does just that." said one YourCity. MD employee. We understand and can implement "Local Search", while the corporate giants in search (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, etc) cannot. They understand the need to display "local" results and are still trying to create more intelligent search engines to accommodate the "I want it now, in my neighborhood!" mentality but have not been able to deliver the goods. They can't because their domain names are inherently global and they inevitably force viewers to filter down the search results from universe to country to state to city to specialty etc. which is a huge waste of time. This multi-search filtering or "information navigation" takes too much time and requires many more searches to get to local results. For Example: a search of the word "doctor" in any of these search engines resolves around 30 million results that are NOT geo-targeted.

The problem according to Benza's TV consultant, John Long, a former TV executive for the past 23 years, is "most "local" TV broadcasters are already aligned or affiliated with world wide data aggregators, who do not have the ability to quickly provide the consumer with true local results. What broadcasters must do today, to succeed on the web, is align themselves with top quality local vertical websites, similar to one of our 500 .MD healthcare city websites listed on MyCity. MD. YourCity. MD sites provide viewers immediate access to local community medical/healthcare providers, resources and Dr recommended healthcare information with local patient ratings and testimonials, all with JUST One-Click! This differentiator and the hyper-local nature of our results are the new order. No longer will web consumers settle for everything including the kitchen sink, type of results."

Long continued, "Advanced thinking broadcasters like WLEX18 TV and WDRB-TV understand the shift and are setting up businesses to compliment their existing spot revenue. We expect many others to follow."

ARX-Sponsored Triathlete Terenzo Bozzone Places an Impressive Second in Ironman Debut

Faster Tomorrow, a division of Healthy Directions, LLC, is proud to announce Terenzo Bozzone's second-place finish at Ironman New Zealand, his debut performance for a triathlon of that distance. Terenzo completed the 2.4 mile swim in third place, maintained that position after the 112 mile bike leg, and chased down Dirk Bockel during the 26.2 mile run to claim the runner-up spot and finish the event in 8:25:37.

Potomac, MD (PRWEB) March 13, 2009

Faster Tomorrow (http://www. fastertomorrow. com/), a division of Healthy Directions, LLC, is proud to announce Terenzo Bozzone's second-place finish at Ironman New Zealand, his debut performance for a triathlon of that distance. Terenzo completed the 2.4 mile swim in third place, maintained that position after the 112 mile bike leg, and chased down Dirk Bockel during the 26.2 mile run to claim the runner-up spot and finish the event in 8:25:37.

"I had some tough patches out there today, but managed to get through" said Bozzone (http://www. fastertomorrow. com/c/sponsored-athletes. asp) after the race. "So to be able to finish in second place feels great." Bozzone has been using Faster Tomorrow's flagship product, ARX, for about four months prior to taking on triathlon's ultimate challenge.

ARX is a unique, proprietary blend of all-natural ingredients proven to increase endurance and shorten recovery time. The results of human clinical studies suggest ARX effectively shuttles lactic acid from muscles during endurance athletics such as running and cycling. By sweeping lactic acid into the bloodstream, through the liver and back into cells for re-absorption, ARX supplies the muscles with a preferred form of fuel, increasing endurance and stamina and accelerating post-exercise recovery.

"I am honored to be working with the Faster Tomorrow team and their flagship product ARX (http://www. fastertomorrow. com/c/muscle-recovery-science/arx. asp)," says Bozzone. "For me, the difference between a podium finish and a back seat in the top 10 is how fast I can recover from hard training. The faster I can recover, the more key workouts I can hit in a training block. ARX helps boost my performance and helps speed up my recovery time."

Healthy Directions President Ed Hauck said, "We continue to be impressed with the amazing talent and drive that Terenzo brings to the sport of triathlon, and are proud to know he credits ARX with helping him reach his goals."

Freedom Financial Network Outlines Financial Literacy ABCs

Freedom Financial Network Outlines Financial Literacy ABCs

Simple steps encourage getting ‘back to basics’ during National Financial Literacy Month.

San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2006

Freedom Financial Network, LLC, invites consumers to wrap up the month of April -- National Financial Literacy Month -- by going back to basics with the financial ABCs.

“With total U. S. consumer debt over $2 trillion and more than 44 million American households carrying average credit card balances of $8,025, it’s clear many Americans need more astute financial education,” says Bradford G. Stroh, co-founder and CEO of Freedom Financial Network, LLC. Luckily, financial smarts are easy as ABC:

A = Add it up. Begin by understanding what you have. Add up all monthly net household income (the amount left after taxes and other paycheck deductions such as health insurance and 401(k) contributions) to determine how much you have to spend. Then categorize your ongoing monthly expenses into fixed expenses (like rent or mortgage payments), variable expenses that are “must-buys” (food, gas, medicine), savings, and finally, spending money (for unexpected expenses and entertainment). Add those up to understand your cost of living.

Subtract expenses from income. If that number (your bottom-line cash flow) is negative or does not help you achieve your short - and long-term financial goals, do a “gut check” and find a way to either increase your income or reduce your expenses.

B = Budget, budget, budget. If you’ve followed “A,” your budget already is halfway done! At the beginning of the month, map out how you will spend your money in the coming month. That’s a budget. “Don’t forget to pay yourself first,” Stroh reminds consumers. “Be sure to add a category for savings, and guard it fiercely.”

C = Cash won’t crash. If you’re among the Americans carrying an average of 16.7 credit cards -- and using them -- put away the plastic. Cash out your spending money in cold, hard bills, and don’t touch the plastic for discretionary expenses like clothing, movies, coffee, dining out or happy hour. Most importantly, never charge more than you pay off at the end of each month.

To further support financial literacy, Freedom Financial Network has developed a 16-page guide titled “Debt Freedom: Budgeting & Financial Tools for Today’s Consumer.” The guide provides advice on understanding cash flow and debt, defining a budget/spending plan, and setting goals to attain financial freedom. The guide is available electronically, at no charge, by e-mailing budget @ freedomfinancialnetwork. com.

Human Resource Outsourcing Pioneer to Visit Jacksonville, Florida; Jay Whitehead to Give the Media’s Perspective on $59 Billion HRO Industry

Jay Whitehead, president and publisher of “HRO Today” and “HRO Europe” magazines, will present the keynote address at “Human Resource Outsourcing: The Technological Advantage,” Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Jacksonville Marriott Hotel, from 7:30 to 9:30 a. m.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) April 12, 2006

One of the pioneers of the human resources outsourcing (HRO) industry is coming to Jacksonville to show businesses and organizations how they can become more efficient through the strategic use of HRO.

Jay Whitehead, president and publisher of “HRO Today” and “HRO Europe” magazines, will present the keynote address at “Human Resource Outsourcing: The Technological Advantage,” Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Jacksonville Marriott Hotel, from 7:30 to 9:30 a. m. The event, sponsored by SingleSource Services Corp., in conjunction with the Jacksonville Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), includes a continental breakfast. Cost is $25 for SHRM members and $35 for non-SHRM members. To register, visit www. singlesourceservices. com or call (904) 241-1821.

”Any $59 billion fast-growth industry that completely transforms its clients businesses is bound to create confusion, fear and opportunity,” Whitehead said. “The HRO phenomenon has swallowed the HR profession whole. This event will help keep your career and company ahead of the HRO curve.”

In addition to his media career, Whitehead has led several HRO businesses. He helped create the industry, coining the now standard term “HRO,” and then “FAO,” which has become synonymous with the $98 billion Finance and Accounting Outsourcing market. Most recently, he and 22 industry colleagues co-founded the HRO Association, which has more than 1,000 members nationwide.

"We are hosting this event to launch our new learning and resource initiative,” SingleSource CEO Donald J. Dymer said, “because sharing knowledge is one of the most personally rewarding things we do.” According to Dymer, seminar participants will gain a deeper understanding of how their organization can save money and create time to develop and retain a more productive team by using “online tools to manage people.”

About SingleSource: Founded in 1995 by retired Scotland Yard Inspector Donald J. Dymer, SingleSource began as a background screening and security firm, serving organizations of every type and size. Believing that “backgrounds are like fingerprints,” the company’s background check, pre-employment screening and drug testing services have helped hundreds of companies, healthcare providers, association members and religious organizations measure the character and integrity of applicants prior to hiring.

Today, SingleSource offers a secure and comprehensive suite of people management tools, delivered in a balanced and efficient blend of Internet-based technology and supported by a team of professional and friendly advisors.

In addition to background screening and drug testing, these tools help employers recruit, assess talent, process payroll, manage applicant, employee and compensation records, administer benefits and generate reports. Learn more about SingleSource on the Web at www. SingleSourceServices. com.

SAN DIEGO, CA NYT best selling author and optimum performance expert John Assaraf challenges parents: “Are your children really getting the education they need to survive? Will geometry, geography and geology truly serve them when they’re out in the ‘real world,’ trying to make rent or car payments? School systems are geared towards having kids listen, memorize, study, and take tests,” laments Assaraf.

“The way our educational system is crafted, every child sees a test score that reflects they did wrong, what they didn’t know, instead of illustrating what they do know! These judgments pigeonhole our children into certain stereotyped behaviors and ideas of self.”

As parents, we can use positive reinforcement with our children to create healthy self-esteem and then truly prepare them for what they will face on their own. There are many talented, brilliant and highly successful icons that havenÂ’t attended college. People such as Senator John Glenn, Steven Spielberg, Steve Jobs, Peter Jennings and Ted Turner have all made names for themselves and are at the top of their fieldsÂ…Not from education but by having the self-confidence to follow their ideas and dreams. It is this type of education that is lacking in our school systems, and creating a generation that is ever more crippled when faced with taking care of themselves.

Assaraf is the author of a new book, THE STREET KIDÂ’S GUIDE TO HAVING IT ALL (LongStreet Press, August 2003, $21.95). HeÂ’s living proof that we can go from nothing to something. As a kid, he ran on the streets of Montreal with a gang, selling and dealing drugs for a living. Now, heÂ’s the happy father of two and a legitimate multi-millionaire.

Assaraf explains the first step is to “re-wire” our programming. “We are programmed with thousands of settings in each area of our lives due to our teachers, parents and past experiences.” THE STREET KID’S GUIDE TO HAVING IT ALL introduces a number of techniques and visualization exercises that parents can use to rewire their children’s sense of self – a necessary tool to ensure their success in the “real world.”

Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) September 15, 2009

Bobby Williams, president and founder of A3 Marketing, recently inked an endorsement contract with beloved actress and animal activist, Betty White, for a new product to benefit the elderly. The endorsement is for Nashville-based Safe Watch by Monsignor, a specially designed emergency response watch that communicates with the company's central monitoring station through two-way voice as well as a worldwide GPS location system.

Betty was recently honored in Hollywood for the past 60 years of hit TV shows, "The Betty White Show", The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and of course the grand slam hit series "The Golden Girls" in addition to the many films she has starred in, including her recent box office hit, "The Proposal."

Past successes of A3 Marketing led Monsignor Curtis Riley to seek out their services for this product. "Our goal at Safe Watch by Monsignor is to aid the senior market with freedom to live on their own with peace of mind and security," shares Monsignor Riley, president and founder of Safe Watch by Monsignor. "We are excited to work with A3 Marketing and Betty White on this national campaign. Ms. White's professionalism, love of people and her undeniable love and support for animals has positioned her as one of the most caring individuals in the entertainment business today--and no doubt in generations to come!"

"We are so excited about the Safe Watch product and the positive impact it will have for seniors. Light years ahead of the competition, this safety device will revolutionize the tracking and response times," shares Bobby Williams. "Being able to work with Betty White on this project is a perfect match. The timing was perfect and her excitement is contagious."

Williams and Monsignor went out to California to meet with Ms. White last week. Ms. White shared her enthusiasm for the product and said, "I wish this would have been around when my mother was still living."

The Safe Watch by Monsignor has a watch face with one large button to push that will provide two-way voice communication through the watch with a central control system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The watch has cellular communication so it will work anywhere there is cellular reception. The GPS location system will be monitored by the company's central station in the case of someone getting lost or needing assistance. This technology is the most cutting-edge and state of the art in the elderly healthcare industry.

The campaign will roll out the first part of October in Nashville, then the state of Tennessee, Florida, then nationally. Portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Morris Animal Foundation of Colorado, one of Betty's favorite projects. More information on the foundation may be obtained at www. morrisanimalfoundation. org.

"We at Safe Watch by Monsignor truly believe we will revolutionize the senior and disabled emergency response market with our safety monitoring device," concludes Monsignor. Safe Watch by Monsignor's mission is to provide an affordable, dependable, user-friendly safety device that offers peace of mind for the elderly while maintaining maximum independence. Chiropractor & Sports-Medicine Practitioner Craig Dossman, Jr. Nurtures Local High School Athletes

Chiropractor & Sports-Medicine Practitioner Craig Dossman, Jr. Nurtures Local High School Athletes

A young chiropractor & Sports Medicine Physician discovers a fast and affective way to treat sports related injuries. This method has been successful in getting players back of the field in days as apposed to weeks, months or never.

LONG BEACH, CALIF. (PRWEB) October 21, 2005

“The young people in my community take athletics very seriously, and for some, sports will provide real opportunities,” says chiropractor and sports-medicine practitioner Dr. Craig Dossman, Jr., founder of Long Beach, Calif.-based Alternative Healthcare Solutions. “If I can keep them healthy so they are at their best during the season, their chances of getting an athletic scholarship will improve, and I will have contributed something positive to their lives. That’s my motivation”

Dossman has long provided services to professional athletes, first as an intern at a sports-medicine clinic in Inglewood, Calif., then as a physician at a Long Beach treatment center, and finally, as part of his own practice, Alternative Healthcare Solutions.

His training and experience have afforded him first-hand knowledge of how one serious blow on the field of play can destroy lifelong dreams of a scholarship or pro career. “An athlete’s success can be attributed not only to his talent, but also to his conditioning,” he notes. During research Dr. Dossman developed a groundbreaking, cutting edge healing technique called “Cold Laser Therapy”. Cold laser is the latest physical therapy tool used at AHS as a local anti-inflammatory (tendonitis, swelling, etc.) & soft tissue healant (tendons, Ligaments and muscles). This technique gets most injured players back on the field within days as opposed to weeks or months. “When the body is equipped to withstand impact, the athlete is better prepared for the intense physical demands of major-league sports. The students I work with are at a pivotal point in developing the good conditioning habits that will support them throughout their careers.”

Dossman is a graduate of the Southern California University of Health Sciences/Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, to which he earned a full scholarship. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences in just three years, graduating with honors in 1998. Four years later, at the age of 25, Dossman became one of the youngest chiropractic physicians in the nation. His youthful appearance and casual style have made him a natural confidant for his teen patients – he’s actually been mistaken for a student. Moreover, none of his staff is over 30.

Here’s what a few of the athletes had to say about Dr. Dossman:

Samie Parker - Kansas City Chiefs “Performance enhancement (speed, agility, supination correction). You did it all. Thanks Doc for taking care of me. I really appreciate it”

Darnell Bing - USC Trojans “The treatment I receive at AHS allows me to play at the best of my abilities without worrying about any injuries. Any little nagging I feel can be treated with a new technology that Dr. Dossman has called the cold laser, it take any nagging pain away instantly. I like his "injury prevention" approach”.

Shalonda Solomon – USC TRACK “Dr. Dossman is an excellent doctor! He is always there when I have a problem just a phone call away! Thank you Dr. Dossman.

Manuel Wright - Miami Dolphins “Just wanted to say thank you…you really helped me recover fast and got me where I needed to be for my pro day. Thanks Doc!”

Long Beach Poly alone has produced a bumper crop of professional athletes, among them Willie McGinest, Tony Gwynn, Samie Parker, Marques Anderson, Manuel Wright. Current college stars including Marcedes Lewis, DeSean Jackson, Hershel Dennis, Winston Justice and of course, Darnell Bing. And with Dr. Craig Dossman Jr. at the ready, Long Beach Poly and the other Southern California schools that have benefited from his work will no doubt see many others go on to glory.

Alternative Healthcare Solutions is located at 401 East Ocean Blvd. Suite #205, Long Beach, Calif. For more information about Alternative Healthcare Solutions, please visit www. gogetasecondopinion. com.
