Growth Hormones Direct Publishes Video on Growth Hormone and Aging

Growth Hormones Direct publishes video on Growth Hormone and aging.

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) November 16, 2010

Growth Hormones Direct publishes video on Growth Hormone and aging. The video will be added to the site's online video library. It will also be added to the company's YouTube channel, ghdirect1.

Individuals looking for quick answers to common questions and concerns often find the Growth Hormones Direct video library even more helpful than the company's article directory.

While the Growth Hormones Direct team consistently adds updated and new material to their directories in an effort to provide the answers to common questions and concerns, the questions about aging tend to be the most frequently accessed.

In an attempt to reach a majority of consumers through the medium of their preference, Growth Hormones Direct instituted a comedy video campaign that provides basics on the treatment, the benefits and "news" of the overall industry as a whole through the newscasts of the company's own "Rodney Rascone." Rodney's "Breaking News" clips are a basic representation of statistics and facts regarding Growth Hormones and the connection between Growth Hormone and aging as well as Growth Hormone and performance enhancement, etc.

Dr. J. Ronald Willis of Growth Hormones Direct said, "Growth Hormones and aging is a hot topic. It's offering the possibility for a more youthful overall health and mental function that many would pay thousands for...and it does it at an affordable price with no required invasive procedures or recovery times. Most find the effects amazing."

Growth Hormones Direct urges consumers to watch 'Science Meet Nature as they reap the benefits of optimizing their hormone levels through proper use of the homeopathic growth hormone formula. Optimal hormone levels allow individuals to enjoy increased general health. Growth Hormones Direct is an Arizona based distributor of quality health foods, supplements, pharmaceuticals and neutraceuticals.

Progressive Radio Network Takes on Controversial H1N1 Vaccine Debate

Progressive Radio Network Takes on Controversial H1N1 Vaccine Debate

Progressive Radio Network Takes on Controversial H1N1 Vaccine Debate

New York, NY (Vocus) October 23, 2009

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the H1N1 (swine) flu virus is now considered to be widespread in 37 states across the country. They also report that hospitalizations of related cases have been above average for this time of year. This news comes just as the vaccine – and the recommendation that people take it – is set to sweep across most major cities in America. The Progressive Radio Network (PRN), meanwhile, has taken the topic head on.

“At PRN, we are not afraid to engage in a discussion that examines the controversy surrounding this vaccination,” explains Gary Null, PRN founder and author of over 70 books. “This is an issue that the American people care about and want real scientific answers to. There are many reasons why other outlets are not discussing this issue, but we are taking it on daily.”

The fact that PRN is ad - and commercial-free also makes them censorship-free, which allows them to be blunt about this controversial topic, leaving nothing off the table. Issues regarding the H1N1 vaccine that they have been discussing include:
Giving up your rights to object the vaccine.  The safety and effectiveness of flu vaccines and all vaccines.  The motives of drug companies.  How drug companies are being granted immunity from liability issues associated with the vaccine.  What you need to know about the H1N1 (swine) flu.

“This is a hot-button topic, right now, and we wouldn’t miss a chance to have an open dialogue to really discuss the issue,” adds Null. “Our shows all touch on it in a different way, yet one thing that is consistent throughout is that this is a candid and much-needed discussion that the American people are craving.”

PRN offers a list of well-known progressive thinkers in their hosting line-up, Dr. Steve Barnett, Danny Schechter, Beth Greer, Jim Turner, Ellen Kamhi and Dr. Henry Grayson Weekly shows cover such topics as the environment, political activism, current affairs and news, health and wellness, natural living, autism, vegetarianism, and more. Listeners can tune in to the shows, which are supported by financial donations from listeners, at www. progressiveradionetwork. com.

Meta Health Technology Announces eCDI Product -- New Hospital Software Automates Clinical Documentation Improvement Process and Delivers Immediate ROI

Meta Health Technology Announces eCDI Product -- New Hospital Software Automates Clinical Documentation Improvement Process and Delivers Immediate ROI

Meta Health Technology has introduced its web-based eCDI software product. The new hospital software automates all elements of the Clinical Documentation Improvement process and includes Meta's powerful Electronic Physician Query software. Benefits for hospitals include streamlined CDI workflow, improved physician query response rate, robust reporting and improved reimbursement.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 14, 2009

Meta Health Technology announced at the 81st AHIMA Convention in Grapevine, Texas the introduction of its web-based eCDI software product. The new software automates all elements of the Clinical Documentation Improvement process, and includes Meta's powerful Electronic Physician Query software. Benefits for hospitals include a streamlined CDI workflow, improved physician query response rate, robust reporting and improved reimbursement.

ECDI Software Helps "Jump Start" Concurrent Case Reviews
Meta developed the new eCDI software in response to widespread hospital implementation of clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs. CDI Specialists often have to waste valuable time manually creating worklists from hardcopy hospital census reports in order to identify cases for review or follow-up. The eCDI software automatically presents Specialists with their work assignments, enabling them to "jump start" their case reviews as soon as they walk in the door. eCDI also includes Meta's powerful Electronic Physician Query software, so that CDI Specialists can easily initiate concurrent queries, right from the nursing unit.

According to Barbara Hinkle-Azzara, Meta's Chief Product Strategist, "Our new eCDI product dramatically streamlines workflow. It walks the CDI Specialist through all the steps of the case review process, beginning with easy access to the case review list. Specialists can review coding or DRG scenarios in a side-by-side comparison, making it easy to quickly identify opportunities for documentation improvement. Best of all, our powerful Electronic Physician Query tool is built right into the workflow, allowing Specialists to easily send and receive required physician queries."

ECDI Delivers Financial Benefits
In today's business environment, health care institutions are highly selective in their technology investments. eCDI -- and the related Electronic Physician Query product --offer hospital decision-makers a proven track record of delivering a rapid return on investment.

"Hospitals have long needed to address documentation improvement as a component of quality patient care. With MS-DRGs there is also a financial incentive to address it," says Eli Nahmias, President and CEO of Meta Health Technology. "We built eCDI to address hospitals' concurrent documentation improvement initiatives. It is a natural outgrowth of our Electronic Physician Query product, which has already generated significant revenue increases for our clients. We believe this new tool will ensure a higher level of documentation quality while improving reimbursement for hospitals."

Navajo Activist Gets Gift of Mobility from The Scooter Store

Navajo Activist Gets Gift of Mobility from The Scooter Store

Power wheelchair will help Grandma Thomas lead annual 80-mile trek for Navajo Youth

Phoenix (PRWEB) July 19, 2006

Dr. Marjorie Thomas – or "Grandma" as she is known throughout the Navajo Nation -- will have the aid of a power wheelchair (http://www. thescooterstore. com) donated by The SCOOTER Store to aid with mobility during the annual 80-mile walk-a-thon to raise money for a Navajo youth center.

Thomas recently completed her 13th consecutive four-day trek from Chinle to Window Rock in eastern Arizona, raising $5,200 and attracting hundreds of volunteers to help with the effort. Age and ailments have made it increasingly difficult for Thomas to complete every step of the walk, prompting the Central Navajo Youth Opportunity Coalition to work with the Phoenix offices of The SCOOTER Store, the nation’s leader in changing lives by providing power wheelchairs and scooters to those with mobility impairments.

"I’ve always said I’ll walk as long as I can for the Navajo youth," Thomas said. "While I can no longer complete every step, a power wheelchair will help me to continue to lead the walk and keep my promise to our young people."

A former education and administrator, Thomas has raised more than $100,000 for the youth center project since her walk began in 1993. Hundreds of volunteers join her for the annual event.

The SCOOTER Store created its Gift of Mobility program in December, 2002, as a demonstration of the company's commitment to "Always Do the Right Thing!" Since its inception, the national outreach program has donated more than $200,000 per year in power wheelchairs and scooters, plus hundreds more manual wheelchairs, to community service organizations, enabling them to provide freedom, independence and personal dignity to those with limited mobility.

"This program is an excellent example of The SCOOTER Store’s mission and we are proud to be able to touch so many lives through these fine community organizations," said Doug Harrison, who with his wife, Susanna, founded The SCOOTER Store 15 years ago.

Across the United States, The SCOOTER Store, a leading provider of power wheelchairs and scooters (http://www. thescooterstore. com), has worked with more than 100,000 physicians to provide more than 250,000 individuals with mobility impairments the freedom to continue living independently. The SCOOTER Store is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC), a nationally recognized industry organization. SoberRecovery. com Celebrates 5 Years of Helping Alcoholics and Addicts Find Recovery

SoberRecovery. com Celebrates 5 Years of Helping Alcoholics and Addicts Find Recovery

Palm Springs, CA – September 19th, 2005 – Pioneer Alcoholism, Addiction and Mental Health help site celebrates 5th Birthday, continuing to guide alcoholics, addicts and their families towards hope, help and recovery. www. SoberRecovery. com offers addiction information, help and support for loved ones, as well as hundreds of treatment options for addicts ready to call it quits.

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2005

Just this past August 29th, President George W. Bush officially proclaimed the month of September to be National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. That is good news to people like Jon Heller, the founder of www. SoberRecovery. com and advocate of the recent "addiction awareness" nod on the part of government. September also happens to be the same month that SoberRecovery. com - a growing Alcoholism, Addiction and Mental Health Portal - was launched, exactly five years ago on September 25th. The site now receives almost 10,000 visitors daily who view more than 1 million pages every month. That adds up to a lot of information for addicts and alcoholics looking to start a sober life, or start one over again. Information is one thing SR has in spades. Type in the keywords, “alcohol and addiction recovery” or “alcohol and drug treatment” in Google and you’ll most often find the site at or near the very top. With 2,473 Recovery Resources in 57 unique Categories, SoberRecovery is referenced 171,000 times in Google alone, and has more than 33,000 of its pages indexed by Yahoo. The site's online visibility is only continuing to grow as even more similar sites continue to crop up.

Long before the search engines discovered the addictions resource library, SoberRecoveryÂ’s growth began with an overwhelming response from the recovery community at large who quickly found an online home. Members of the SoberRecovery Community have since put up 473,628 posts, or messages, either seeking help and support or giving help and support. Twenty volunteer moderators from all over the world dedicate hundreds of hours to the online recovery community, doing their best to keep a new person from getting lost in the shuffle. This much is certain; with over 5,585,327 visitors to date the site, always open and always free thanks to its sponsors, is making a positive impact on peopleÂ’s lives.

It all started from a donated computer run from the kitchen of the Sober Living apartments that Jon Heller called home. What would later become SoberRecovery. com initially began as a simple, three-page list of resources for alcoholics and addicts who also had been diagnosed for depression or bi-polar disorder. SoberRecovery. com was officially launched September 15, 2000 as a free resource library for those seeking recovery from alcoholism, drug abuse, eating disorders, and mental illness. It soon became the starting point for parents, spouses and significant others of addicts and alcoholics. Each year it has grown in terms of visitors, members and sponsor-funded support. “No one could have predicted this“, says Heller, the site’s founder.

SoberRecovery. com continues to expand as an always-growing recovery portal for addicts and alcoholics seeking help, concerned friends, family and loved ones needing support, and for the treatment centers and organizations that provide help,. The site is a safe place for those new to recovery to hook-up with those who have already “been there.” Even the smallest addiction-support organization can have its programs seen by thousands of people a day on the SoberRecovery. com web site, free of charge.

SoberRecovery. com is much more than an addictions information site, according to its founder and developer, Heller. “SoberRecovery. com really is a living, breathing community. Thousands of visitors from all over the world come together in cyber-space and actually help each other. With just a little imagination you can watch as new people enter the site, in pain because of their addiction or an addicted loved one, and are greeted and surrounded by others who give of themselves. It’s amazing. Goose-bump amazing.”

Live chat was added to the Forums a few years ago, and there are moderated online meetings almost every night. The resident ‘Ask the Experts’ moderators are both published and known throughout the recovery community. “Mark and Guy don’t really have to be here”, says Heller. “Both have books, and sites and plenty to do. All of our moderators and volunteers have families, jobs and/or school to think about. But they show up and help out. Without them, we’re just a list of links. A few years ago that was enough. Today there are lots of recovery sites all over the Internet. What makes us different is that our moderators, our volunteers, our community members and our sponsors have become really good at - and committed to - what they are doing.”

Recently, one site visitor shared her experience with SoberRecovery. com by relating, “I have made some wonderful friends from all over the globe and I know that I would be a lot further back in my recovery had it not been for all the wisdom that is shared on these boards. Everyone here nudged me when my thinking went awry, held me up when I left my ex last December, cheered me on when I moved back to my home town, put things in perspective when I beat myself up… Thank you, Jon [Heller], for laying the foundations for such a wonderful community.”

The National League for Nursing will induct the inaugural class of 41 fellows, representing 33 schools of nursing throughout the United States into the Academy of Nursing Education, the league announced today. The fellows, selected by the NLN Board of Governors, the oversight body for the Academy, have been chosen for their sustained and significant contributions to the field of nursing education.

New York, NY (PRWEB) August 13, 2007

The National League for Nursing will induct the inaugural class of 41 fellows, representing 33 schools of nursing throughout the United States into the Academy of Nursing Education, the league announced today. The fellows, selected by the NLN Board of Governors, the oversight body for the Academy, have been chosen for their sustained and significant contributions to the field of nursing education, said NLN Board President Toni Bargagliotti. "We are proud of the visionary leadership these Fellows represent. They serve as important role models to anyone aspiring to make a difference in nursing education, and ultimately to the delivery of health care in the United States," she asserted.

The NLN established the Academy of Nursing Education earlier this year to foster excellence in nursing education by recognizing and capitalizing on the wisdom of outstanding nurse educators. Fellows support the vision of the NLN to promote standards of excellence in nursing education that will increase the number of graduates from all types of nursing programs and serve as resources for new educators and those in clinical practice who hope to someday enter the ranks of nursing faculty.

Said Dr. Beverly L. Malone, NLN CEO, "The National League for Nursing relies on these accomplished individuals as allies in our efforts to prepare the numbers of excellent nurse educators we need if we are to eliminate the shortage of nurses plaguing America's health care institutions. Nurse faculty and colleagues from other fields who contribute to excellence in nursing education and to the preparation of a nursing workforce that meets the needs of our ever-changing health care environment deserve this public recognition and the gratitude of all who are eager to elevate the status of the profession. I know this new credential will be borne with pride."

As newly named fellows, this group has been lauded for innovative teaching and/or learning strategies; nursing education research; faculty development; academic leadership; promotion of public policy that advances nursing education; and/or collaborative educational, practice or community partnerships.

The induction of new fellows and a meeting of fellows in the Academy of Nursing Education will be held in conjunction with the NLN's annual Education Summit, September 26-29 in Phoenix, AZ.

Architect Uses Psychological Assessments to Design Custom Homes for Clients

Architect Uses Psychological Assessments to Design Custom Homes for Clients

Boca Raton architect, Manuel Occhiogrosso, puts his degree in psychology to use by providing clients with a unique design experience. The client, who is seen by Occhiogrosso to be the entire family, is assessed on a variety of different domains to create a custom design for their new home that is specifically suited for their personality and lifestyle.

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) August 4, 2006

Modern science confirms what ancient architects have known for millennia; that the design of a building can so emotionally move a person that the architecture seems to embody a spirit of its own that promotes the psychological health and wellbeing of its inhabitant. Gestalt Design Studio, an architectural firm in Boca Raton, fuses architecture and psychology to create not only unique architecture, but also a unique design experience for the homeowners.

The initial step in the process is to assess the family's lifestyle through observation, interviewing, and other more structured psychological exercises. The family's personality, says Occhiogrosso, is comprised of five domains: Social, Functional, Systemic, Economical, and Character, each having an impact on the design of the home. For instance, by understanding the social domain of the family, the architect understands how the family relates to others: Do they entertain small groups of people or large groups? Are guests to the home mostly family, business acquaintances, or friends? How does the family portray itself publicly? Are gatherings usually formal, lavish affairs or quiet, more casual get-togethers? Maybe they don't entertain at all? The sizes, arrangement, and quality of the spaces in the home would vary greatly depending on how the family responds to these questions and how ultimately the family's social life is understood to be.

The resulting design takes into account every variable that would make the home a very functional place for the family to live, that takes into account the family's budget and attitude toward economy, allows for the healthy interaction of family members, and most importantly, embodies the character that reflects the family's personality and expresses that character in a beautiful way. The first of these homes is under construction in Thornhill Estates in Boca Raton and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

About Gestalt Design Studio:

Gestalt Design Studio has extensive experience in designing residential architecture including custom luxury homes for individuals as well as model homes for builders, commercial spaces and large-scale urban design projects for developers. The firm's principal architect, Manuel Occhiogrosso, is registered in the state of Florida, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is eligible for reciprocity in all fifty states, U. S. territories and Canada. Manuel Occhiogrosso has been practicing architecture in the South Florida area for the last 13 years. In addition to his independent work, Occhiogrosso has designed and managed major projects for Boca Raton’s finest architectural firms. Occhiogrosso holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in architecture from the University of Miami as well as a master’s degree in psychology from Nova Southeastern University.

Pet Greens Grooming Line contains five percent added wheat grass. Soap and detergent free, the mild coconut cleansers and conditioners will not remove topical flea products, such as Advantage®, Frontline® or Bio Spot®. All Pet Greens Grooming Line products are made with wheat grass and oatmeal, and contain botanical blends in six varieties:
2 in 1 – mild coconut cleanser with conditioning papaya and botanical blends for healthy skin and coat;  Puppy Shampoo – contains moisturizing and naturally antibacterial Aloe Vera. This gentle, soap-free formula is also great for kittens and adult cats;  Senior Shampoo – made with Kava to relieve stress, condition and revitalize an older dog’s coat;  Odor Control Shampoo – a proprietary blend of odor-neutralizing ingredients doesn't just mask odors – it actually destroys them at a molecular level;  Sensitive Shampoo – mild coconut cleanser with Chamomile flower added to calm and heal irritated skin; and  Deep Conditioning – made with restorative and softening vitamin E and papaya.

Pet Greens Grooming Line has a suggested retail price of $12.99 for 16 oz. bottles of shampoos and conditioners. Retailer prices may vary. Free Christmas Gift: Concerned Businessman Announces a Free Giveaway of his Zero-Tox Cleaner to Draw Attention to Child Poisonings from Household Cleaners

Free Christmas Gift: Concerned Businessman Announces a Free Giveaway of his Zero-Tox Cleaner to Draw Attention to Child Poisonings from Household Cleaners

Free Christmas Gift: Concerned businessman announces a free giveaway of his Zero-Toxic cleaner to draw attention to epidemic child poisonings from household cleaners.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 4, 2007

While America is focused on the danger of lead poisoning of children from Chinese-made toys, a Chicago "Green" entrepreneur announced today his goal this Christmas to awaken mothers and fathers to the silent epidemic of death that has been un-noticed for years: household cleaner poisoning. His gift: a free bottle of his zero-toxic cleaner.

Every year, 160,000 American children, six years and younger, are poisoned by household cleaners -- hundreds of thousands are hospitalized, thousands in intensive care, and hundreds die. More children four years and under die from poisoning by household cleaners than die from all gunshot accidents in the home, counting every age group. For a two, three, or four-year old, the spray bottle is more dangerous than a gun.

Mark Bass, a manufacturer of eco-friendly and zero-toxic cleaners for Fortune 500 companies like Hertz Rent a Car, is giving away thousands of 2 liter (67 oz) bottles of his degreaser-cleaner for free to any consumer willing to try it for the first time.

"You only have to know what goes into many home cleaners--to realize that most cleaning chemicals are not good for you or the environment," says Bass. "Citrus, which is a terpine, is a common example of a "natural" ingredient that is found in many household detergents and all-purpose cleaners. It is an allergen and will degrade the indoor air quality of your home." Also, "take your cleaner that is labeled Non-Toxic and read the small print on the back, where you'll see health warnings. Those warnings mean the cleaner's not safe."

If you think someone has been poisoned from a medicine or household chemical, call 800-222-1222 for your Poison Control Center. This new national toll-free number directs you to the closest Regional Poison Control Center. Each Center maintains information for the doctor or the public on recommended treatment for the ingestion of household products and medicines.

His "green" Zero-Tox cleaner, being offered for free, was safety tested and evaluated at Duke University. It will not poison your children, or your pets, or you. It carries no health warnings and no health labeling, unlike every other cleaner currently in your home. And yes, it is "Made in America".

These samples are free. The only requirement is for consumers to pay shipping charges for the 2-liter bottle. There will be no extra handling charges added.

To order your free bottle of Zero-Tox, go to http://zerotoxonline. com/ (http://zerotoxonline. com/)

If you would like more information about this topic, or to schedule an interview with Mark Bass, please call Tricia Ryan at 416-259-6611.

Commissure Announces Company Formation Dedicated to Medical Documentation and Communication Solutions

Commissure Announces Company Formation Dedicated to Medical Documentation and Communication Solutions

Company Actively Engaged in “Closing the Loop” on the imaging services ordering, documentation and communications.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 10, 2005

Commissure recently announced its entry into the healthcare information industry with a host of innovative products. Designed to provide clinical data solutions for clinicians and radiologists, Commissure's slate of products was created to improve patient care in a timely and cost effective manner.

"We recognized a critical need to close the loop on accurate and timely documentation and communication between medical professionals," says Commissure CEO Michael Mardini. "Commissure was founded to facilitate a no holds barred approach to innovation. Working in conjunction with leading healthcare facilities, we've created products with innovative, patented technologies and decision support algorithms that are designed to reduce critical errors while optimizing clinical effectiveness."

Commissure has been engaged in stringent research, development and testing of its new products for quite some time. Today, Commissure's line of products is setting the stage to bring a new wave of solutions to healthcare facilities. These products include RadWhere™ Suite and RadPort™ Suite, robust software solutions for clinicians and radiologists. Within each solution package resides a set of individual components designed to increase efficiency and communication for healthcare facilities. “Commissure RadWhere provides a simple unified workflow for our complex multi-vendor RIS, PACS and EMR environment. It also allows us to design, develop and integrate our own web service components into the overall solution” says Dr. Keith Dreyer, Vice Chairman of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital.

RadWhere™ Suite provides a host of services for radiologists by improving the means by which reports are created, decisions are made and communications completed. Its real-time speech-reporting component uses patented natural language understanding algorithms to speed the reporting process and ultimately reduces how much the radiologist must say to complete a report. It's real-time auto structuring capability enables automated knowledge access for mining clinical data as the radiologist speaks. This allows for intelligent access to relevant data in the diagnostic decision support process. In addition, key clinical content is added to the radiology report. RadWhere™ Suite is also capable of at analyzing radiology reports and coding them with the proper ICD9 codes, eliminating the need for manual coding. RadWhere's enterprise teleradiology component solves the problems associated with servicing multiple sites and using multiple applications by intelligently connecting to all sites and providing a single workstation in which to access studies.

Communicating critical findings in a confirmed, audited manner becomes as easy as a click of a button with RadWhere's critical communications component. Let RadWhere track down clinicians to communicate an urgent finding --- You will view an immediate receipt that they've received it right on your reporting workstation.

"To call RadWhere a voice recognition product does not do it justice," says Dr. Lincoln Berland, Professor and Vice-Chairman for Development at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Radiology. "This is an entirely new approach to radiology reporting that could better be called 'computer assisted reporting.' Providing one-click, real-time information on diseases and anatomy while the report is being dictated will fundamentally improve the way radiologists do one of their most important jobs - communicating."

RadPort™ Suite focuses on assisting referring clinicians with the sometimes-daunting task of ordering radiology exams and accessing multi-media results for their patients. Often, referring physicians have trouble choosing the most clinically effective exam based on a patient's conditions. RadPort’s decision support criteria, based on prior work by the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria in this area, were developed by expert panels of physicians in all specialties of medicine. Based on input from over 1500 clinicians over a period of 10 years, RadPort's Decision Support component adds a comprehensive and continuously updated knowledge base that provides real-time decision support information to clinicians at the time of ordering by suggesting the most appropriate exam based on indications and history.

RadPort also has the ability to allow the referring physician to easily check the status of an exam and review the report after the exam has been performed, solving the problems associated with results distribution.

RadPort's Practice Builder component allows a radiology administrator or manager to examine ordering patterns of referring clinicians for utilization management and quality assurance purposes.

"These are some new and innovative approaches to solve some enduring problems in healthcare." says Dr. James Thrall, Chairman of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. "The reporting component has the potential to reshape how a radiologist gets their work done and improve how they communicate with the rest of the community." One of Commissure's earliest customers, The Massachusetts General Hospital is already experiencing significant cost savings, improved workflow and ordering efficiencies.

"We understand that clinically correct medical imaging order placement is the first step to improving patient care and reducing medical imaging costs," says Mardini. Commissure has addressed this issue by creating tools that provide vital information and guidance to ensure correct order placement.

"Healthcare facilities face a number of complex problems as they struggle to find ways to accurately and promptly document and communicate with their clinical professionals. With the formation of Commissure and the launch of its innovative product solutions, this company is poised to solve those problems-no matter how complex the answers may be."

About Commissure:

Commissure is a leading provider of medical documentation and communication solutions. The Commissure team brings together decades of experience with hundreds of healthcare institutions worldwide, dozens of leading industry vendors, and all key healthcare standardization committees. The company’s products and services drive efficiencies in information management through innovative structured speech recognition technology that closes the loop on the creation and communication of medical documentation. Their goal is to help clients achieve dramatic productivity gains and cost savings through more efficient creation, management and ‘encounter sensitive’ timely access of important clinical information.

With robust software solutions for radiologists and clinicians, Commissure is closing the loop on accurate and timely documentation and communication between medical professionals. Skincare's Treasured Pearl - The Story of the Search, Discovery and Celebration of Amazing Skin Care Products

Skincare's Treasured Pearl - The Story of the Search, Discovery and Celebration of Amazing Skin Care Products

“I can't believe the amazing results P8N8 has given me… I finally feel free and able to show the world this beautiful face of mine.”

(PRWEB) April 27, 2005

Buried beneath the sand of skin care products - amidst seas of performance claims - Lays a hidden, treasured pearl.

How do you find skincare’s treasured pearls? So many choices – department store brands, professional salon products, dermatologist recommended creams, and physician prescribed medications. So many claims – “anti aging,” “wrinkle reduction,” “reverse the signs of aging in minutes,” look younger,” “the answer for acne.”

Yet, why does nothing seem to work? Many feel nice on the skin, but little improvement is noticed. While, others may perform, but are so irritating that youÂ’d rather keep it on the shelf than on your skin. How do you decide? Who do you trust? Do you simply try the brand claiming to be favored by the hottest A-list celebrity?

Ashley* had experienced this confusion and frustration. From adolescence to early adulthood, Ashley suffered with acne. She, too, had searched the ocean bottom for an end to the pain suffered daily from embarrassment caused by acne. Whenever something new was introduced as an acne solution, Ashley knew about it, researched it, and often tried it. At age 25, Ashley was still searching. She was contemplating a significant investment in purchasing the latest acne prescription medication, when through a skincare e-retailer she was introduced to the new P8N8 Skincare line – a range now available in the USA after hiding in Europe and Toronto for the last few years. After an hour on the phone with a P8N8 Specialist, Ashley decided to give P8N8 a try.

Here’s her personal story of search, discovery and P8N8 celebration: “It's been a month of using P8N8 products and this is how I feel about it: I love it, I absolutely love it! At first I was very skeptical about it, so I figured I'll give it a month to try it because I've used all the products on the market from over the counter to prescription to salon quality products but nothing, nothing has worked for my acne, oily skin. I'm 25 years old and I've suffered from acne since I was 11 years old...Until now...I can't believe the amazing results P8N8 has given me. I no longer break out (this includes all types of acne including the cystic ones) and my skin is now oil-free. My skin feels smooth and soft. 90% of my acne scars are gone. I'm giving myself another month to have my skin be completely acne free. I really can't believe this product. It really works and I'm glad I didn't try [an expensive prescription medication]…From all the embarrassment and pain I've suffered from my acne, I finally feel free and able to show the world this beautiful face of mine.”

The fascinating aside to AshleyÂ’s story is that the P8N8 products in her regimen are not specific to acne treatment, but rather overall skin restoration, repair and health. The same P8N8 formulations that control AshleyÂ’s acne, work deep in the skin to revive dull, lifeless skin; repair sun damage; smooth fine lines and wrinkles; promote collagen production; and, balance and tone the complexion, while restoring skin's healthy, youthful glow. P8N8 devotees are not only thrilled with the product performance, but the simply amazing feel of their skin. Smooth. Soft. Supple skin.

AshleyÂ’s P8N8 regimen includes: Multi Vita Foaming Cleanser, Multi Vita Gel Toner, Multi Vita Exfoliator, Multi Vita Deep Pore Cleanser, Multi Vita Shock Treatment Serum and Multi Vita Complex 1 Multi Fruit cream. P8N8 is available through select skincare retail outlets and e-retailers, on www. p8n8skincare. com, and can be purchased by calling a P8N8 Specialist at 1.866.355.7868.

Real-Life Song About School Bullies Exemplifies Responsibility, Compassion and Forgiveness

Real-Life Song About School Bullies Exemplifies Responsibility, Compassion and Forgiveness

Song's Theme Still Remains Timely 25 Years Later

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 10, 2005

When Lee Domann and Howard Ray were in the seventh grade in Oskaloosa, Kansas, they were involved in what unfortunately occurs across the United States every day. Ray was the target of ridicule by his classmates, including Domann, and those encounters impacted Domann's conscience long into adulthood. In 1980, Domann wrote the song, "Howard Gray," a true story of the cruelty Ray endured at school while growing up economically poor in the American heartland.

The song is as pertinent today as it was 25-years ago. Reaching beyond age and culture, "Howard Gray" has been used for a Martin Luther King birthday celebration in Raleigh, North Carolina; Gloria Gaither has been a huge advocate of the song, including it in her lectures; and after the 2001 shootings at Santana High School in Santee, California, in the Maryland community where convicted gunman Andy Williams lived before moving to California, the pastor included the song in a sermon to help heal the deep grief of congregation members who knew Williams and his family.

First recorded by the Southern gospel group Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters (Word Records 1986), "Howard Gray" has been recorded by over 20 artists and used as a focus in a multitude of teaching and learning settings. The song's largest exposure so far has been through the Bishops, a bluegrass group that included "Howard Gray" on their album "Kentucky Bluegrass," which won a Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association in 1999.

After "Howard Gray" began getting airplay, Domann learned that the real Howard Gray (Howard Ray) - - who had dropped out of school as a result of the ostracism - - was living in Topeka, Kansas. He sent Ray a letter and included a copy of the song, letting him know about the healing effect the song has had for people. Three years later, Ray honored Domann by showing up at his father's funeral. "The funeral was over and people were starting to file out of the church. I turned around and saw Howard standing there" says Domann. "Then I turned to my wife and said, 'Norma, Howard is here,' and she squeezed my hand and said, 'I think you've been forgiven.'"

Since that time, a 15-minute video titled, "Through the Eyes of Howard Gray" (which includes the song "Howard Gray" followed by a dialogue between Domann and Ray as adults) was produced by elementary classroom specialist, workshop trainer and musician David Levine. The video is used in public schools in conjunction with a curriculum to develop social skills and build social responsibility in young people called "The Road Best Traveled," developed by Levine and his company, People on Board. The video is also used with a multi-option study guide for churches, developed by Domann and his wife, Norma Wimberly, "God Knows, God Forgives: The Story of Howard Gray."

In "Through the Eyes of Howard Gray," Ray confesses to Domann that he "cried a little bit" when he first heard the song, but he is happy with how the song has helped so many people. The former classmates, now in their 50's, stay in touch. Ray is challenged with health problems and Domann makes sure that Ray receives a portion of the royalties from "Howard Gray."

"Howard Gray" is included on Domann's newest CD, "Songs For Ebby T.". To hear a sample of the song, visit http://www. LeeDomann. com (http://www. LeeDomann. com).

Economic Crisis Hits Maryland Hospitals Nearly 60 Percent of Hospitals Sustain Financial Losses

Economic Crisis Hits Maryland Hospitals Nearly 60 Percent of Hospitals Sustain Financial Losses

The economic crisis is taking a significant toll on Maryland hospitals, causing their finances to slide to unprecedented low levels during the final quarter of 2008. Maryland hospitals' total margins dropped to negative 13.5 percent between October 1 and December 31, 2008, compared to 2.2 percent during the same time in 2007. The situation in Maryland is far worse than for hospitals nationwide, where the deficit for total margins was negative 7.8 percent for the final three months of 2008. Thirty-four Maryland hospitals sustained overall losses during that three-month period totaling $466 million, according to a new financial analysis by the Maryland Hospital Association.

Elkridge, MD (PRWEB) March 26, 2009

The economic crisis is taking a significant toll on Maryland hospitals, causing their finances to slide to unprecedented low levels during the final quarter of 2008. Maryland hospitals' total margins dropped to negative 13.5 percent between October 1 and December 31, 2008, compared to 2.2 percent during the same time in 2007. Hospitals' total margins had already fallen to a negative 2.5 percent in the quarter ending September 30, 2008. Total margins measure the overall financial condition of Maryland's hospitals, which are almost exclusively not-for-profit facilities.

"At the very time when the economy is forcing more Marylanders to turn to hospitals for their only source of health care, the economy is crippling Maryland hospitals' ability to meet the growing demand," Carmela Coyle, MHA President and CEO, said. "That means hospitals have significantly less money to hire new staff, invest in new services and programs or technology, to upgrade buildings, or to help physicians."

Most of hospitals' losses resulted from increases in interest rates, losses on returns, and other increases in costs needed to provide financing to upgrade or expand programs and to underwrite the costs of new technology. Operating margins--which measure financial performance in providing care--while dropping, did not fall as precipitously. Overall operating margins in the fourth quarter of 2008 were 1.5 percent--down from 2.4 percent in the quarter ending September 30. That is well below the rate-setting commission's target of 2.75 percent and below the 1.8 percent operating margins for hospitals nationwide for the quarter ending December 31.

The losses Maryland hospitals face are forcing them to limit their purchases of new technology and equipment, and to delay upgrades in information technology according to a new MHA survey. Hospitals also report adopting, or considering, hiring freezes and staff reductions; eliminating vacant positions; and cutting administrative spending, including educational and meeting expenses. In addition, hospitals report the losses have led to a significant increase in hospitals' pension liability costs.

Furthermore, the survey found the economy is forcing more and more physicians to approach hospitals for financial support, ranging from widespread requests for hospital employment to nearly universal requests for pay increases to provide services to hospitals. In 2008 hospitals provided $210 million in support to physicians.

"With a physician shortage particularly intense in inner city Baltimore and rural parts of the state, financial support for doctors is vital to assure access to care in these areas," Coyle said.

"Hospitals are the bedrocks of our communities, both as providers of health care to all who need assistance and as the economic engines for our communities," Coyle added. "Anything that weakens our hospitals poses a threat to the economy of Maryland and the well-being of our state."

MHA is the advocate for Maryland hospitals, health systems, and their patients before legislative and regulatory bodies. Its membership is comprised of community and teaching hospitals, health systems, specialty hospitals, veterans hospitals, and long-term care facilities. For more information, visit MHA's Web site.

Oasis Day Spa Honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month with 'In the Pink' Promo; Provides Spa-Goers with Vital Breast Health Info

To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Oasis Day Spa in New York City is running "In the Pink," an exclusive promotion that gives 15 percent off services and products on Mondays and Wednesdays to customers wearing pink.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 3, 2007

To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Oasis Day Spa in New York City is running "In the Pink," an exclusive promotion that gives 15 percent off services and products on Mondays and Wednesdays to customers wearing pink. "In the Pink" was created to fulfill two purposes: to provide men and women with vital information about the importance of good breast health in an atmosphere where they feel comfortable; and to raise awareness about the healing and stress-reduction powers of massage.

"In The Pink" will also provide customers with valuable information from the American Cancer Society that highlights the benefits of massage therapy for cancer patients. (It is important to note that any cancer patient seeking massage therapy must discuss options with their physician and choose the massage setting that is best for them.) The card will also feature: the five steps to Self-Breast Exam; information about proper bra fittings; and important non-profit and cancer-related Web sites.

"In our ten year history we have cared for thousands of women of all ages, many of whom have suffered from serious illnesses or have friends and relatives with cancer," says Owner Bruce Schoenberg. "For many of our female customers going to a spa is less about pampering and indulgence and more about maintaining good mental and physical health. Because we are a regular outlet for comfort, privacy and relaxation, we have the opportunity to educate and spread the message about the importance of good breast health for women."

Oasis hopes that more women, particularly those under 40 and too young for mammograms, will perform self-breast exams, a potential factor in early detection.

While there are differences between regular and medicinal massage, a recent Prevention magazine article cited that 20 percent of all cancer patients in the U. S. seek some form of massage therapy. Massage has been known to help easy anxiety, depression, stress and nausea. Massage is in no way a preventative measure or a treatment, and any cancer patient should get appropriate clearance from his/her healthcare provider prior to scheduling an appointment.

Oasis Day Spa combines a peaceful and beautiful environment, with a highly trained, friendly staff, to ensure a memorable and enjoyable spa experience. Oasis Spa is not about spa trends, but offer spa treatments providing the utmost in relaxation and rejuvenation, along with the latest developments in massage, skincare, hydrotherapy and other spa services. MOBOTIX Advances to 4th Largest Market Share of Network Cameras Worldwide and 2nd Largest in EMEA

MOBOTIX Advances to 4th Largest Market Share of Network Cameras Worldwide and 2nd Largest in EMEA

IMS research also reveals that network camera market to increase annually by around 40 percent until approximately 2011.

New York (PRWEB) February 19, 2008

The result of a recent study on the video surveillance market done by market research specialist IMS Research* shows that MOBOTIX, a manufacturer of digital, high-resolution and network-based video security systems, was able to increase the share of the EMEA market in 2006 by 3.7 percentage points compared to the previous year. With this, MOBOTIX occupies the second place in the market share with 16.3 per cent, right behind Axis.

MOBOTIX also managed to gain global market share, rising to fourth place in the network camera manufacturer rankings with a market share of 6.6 per cent, behind Axis, Sony and Panasonic. This makes the Kaiserslautern-based camera specialist one of only four companies around the globe to increase its share of the market.

"This survey clearly confirms the rise of high resolution digital video solutions against the traditional analog systems," said Peter McKee, International Marketing Director for MOBOTIX. "It is especially encouraging that IMS gives special mention to the importance of the MOBOTIX MxPEG codec for future market development"."

Strong growth predicted for megapixel cameras
The IMS study confirmed that the entire industry is undergoing a period of sustained growth. The market for network cameras is set to increase by an average of 40.1 per cent annually between 2006 and 2011, with the market for network video surveillance software not far behind at 35.8 per cent, according to IMS Research. As a complete solution provider, MOBOTIX serves both markets, unlike its rival camera manufacturers. Digital network cameras will continue to win against the analog surveillance cameras in the coming years. Fix-dome models are enjoying particular popularity, and in the past two years, MOBOTIX has successfully launched two new fixed-dome product lines, the D12 and D22 dome cameras.

IMS is forecasting up to year 2011 even healthier growth for the megapixel camera market, in which MOBOTIX has been active for years already. The big advantage of megapixel technology is that more detail can be recorded with fewer cameras. Not only does this save costs, but it also enhances the systems' visual impact in buildings with elaborate architecture. Megapixel technology is where MOBOTIX strengths are: all of its camera models have featured this technology for years, and now since October 2007, the cameras are equipped with 3.1 megapixels. An unofficial estimate by IMS Research lists MOBOTIX as the global market leader in high-resolution network camera technology with a market share of over 60 per cent.

Efficient video codec is where the future lies
IMS gave special recognition to the importance of the MOBOTIX MxPEG video codec for future market development. "Most of today's megapixel cameras use only the single frame-based Motion JPEG format for compression of the video stream, and so require several times the bandwith and memory than a more efficient video codec," explained Simon Harris, Senior Research Director at IMS.

Megapixel cameras do not use MPEG4 in high-resolution operation, as this format was originally developed only for running multimedia applications and does not satisfy live camera requirements. In addition, the immense computational complexity required by MPEG4, particularly in the megapixel range, is neither available in the camera nor in the PC for processing images from several cameras.

The licence-free MOBOTIX MxPEG format was developed especially for megapixel live cameras. Not only does it allow short response times from scene to display and moving images to be recorded in greater detail, but it also offers cost-effective recording by a number of cameras in megapixel quality thanks to its lower computing power requirements. If MxPEG is used, a single standard PC can save high-resolution megapixel images from roughly ten times as many cameras. In 2007, a system with around 1,000 MOBOTIX megapixel cameras was installed in Singapore.

Well-known video software manufacturers have already adopted the MOBOTIX video codec in their software systems.
