Wake and Bake a Cake: Hemp Company Retains Organic Ad Agency, Adcandy, Consumers Are Invited to Participate

Wake and Bake a Cake: Hemp Company Retains Organic Ad Agency, Adcandy, Consumers Are Invited to Participate

Talk about creating a buzz… In a marriage of counter-cultural organizations, Adcandy is hired by Hemp company to ask for creative input from consumers. Adcandy is an agency powered by "consumer-generated" ideas.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 10, 2005

No, it won’t alter your mind, but it will make you smile…. Wellfun Foods, an Australian-based holistic food company, is using Adcandy, a consumer-based ad agency, to tap into consumers’ marketing ideas for its product “Supremely Moist,” a cake and muffin mix made from the organic hemp-seed.

Hemp, it turns out, has many more uses than just making rope. The hemp-seed is a nutritional superfood that contain fatty acids in which omega 3’s and omega 6’s are in a more perfect ratio than the more common fatty acid supplements flax and fish oil. Supremely Moist is an organic “quick mix” cake mix that comes in chocolate and fruit flavors. So, next time you have the munchies, you don't have to sacrifice health as you indulge your cravings.

Adcandy has been featured in Wired, Adweek, and Clickz. To date, Adcandy has registered 4500 users. Part marketing tool, part market research device and idea generator, Adcandy has revolutionized marketing by partnering with the greatest unrealized source of advertising talent in history: the American consumer. ”We tap into that place where great, spontaneous art comes from,” says Per Hoffman, founder of Adcandy. “And in the case of Adcandy, that art is advertising.”

Adcandy is inviting the American public to participate in this contest by visiting its website. Prizes are being offered for the best entries at Adcandy. com.

Global Nutraceuticals Market to Cross US$187 Billion By 2010, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc

Global Nutraceuticals Market to Cross US$187 Billion By 2010, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

Rising consumer desire for leading a healthy life and increasing scientific evidence supporting health foods continue to drive the nutraceuticals market. Major trends influencing the market include growing competition resulting in industry consolidation, maturing markets in the developed regions, and fluctuating demand for herbal supplements.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2008

Global nutraceuticals market (http://www. strategyr. com/Nutraceuticals_Market_Report. asp) is projected to witness healthy growth to cross US$187 billion in sales by 2010. The United States, Europe and Japan dominate the global market, with the combined share estimated at about 86% for 2007. The three regional markets would continue to hold on to their leading position as global producers and consumers of nutraceuticals due to high-income levels of consumers, greater awareness and widespread preferences for specialty nutritional and herbal products, and trends promoting preventive medicine and self-treatment. An expanding proportion of elderly population, enhanced awareness about health and nutrition and availability of scientific evidence linking diet and health are major factors contributing to the strong growth being witnessed in the worldwide nutraceuticals market. Escalating costs associated with healthcare constitutes another factor that is pushing the demand for self-medication and healthy foods.

The United States is estimated to account for over 32% share of the sales in 2007, as stated by Global Industry Analysts, Inc. Buoyed by the robust Chinese and Indian nutraceutical markets, the Asia-Pacific market is expected to record exceptional gains in nutraceuticals arena, resulting from rising economic prosperity. Asia-Pacific is set to emerge as the fastest growing
Functional foods market (http://www. strategyr. com/Nutraceuticals_Market_Report. asp) over the review period.

Dietary supplements segment is fast approaching maturity levels, particularly in developed regions. The maturity is expected to reflect in future performance of dietary supplements segment in the form of relatively low growth, thereby adversely affecting the profit generation capabilities of market participants. The United States is the leading dietary supplements market (http://www. strategyr. com/Nutraceuticals_Market_Report. asp) with sales estimated at US$21 billion for 2007. Growth in the herbal supplements market (http://www. strategyr. com/Nutraceuticals_Market_Report. asp) slowed down in recent years, partly due to negative media environment, especially concerning drug interactions, and partly due to consumers demanding specific products for specific ailments. Functional foods constitute a fast moving segment in the nutraceuticals market, driven by the rising health awareness among consumers. The demand for healthier foods or food ingredients is likely to intensify as baby boomers seek ways to keep themselves free from age-related chronic health problems.

Competition in the industry is driven by several factors such as price, safety, efficacy, packaging and brand loyalty, among others. With growing similarity among products and formulations, maintaining consumer brand loyalty is emerging as a critical yet complex issue. Global nutraceuticals market is characterized by intense competitive conditions, as a result of which consolidation activity has gathered momentum. Consequently, large pharmaceuticals companies are taking over smaller and regional players to boost their position in the intensely competitive market.

The report titled "Nutraceuticals: A Global Strategic Business Report" published by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., offers a comprehensive analysis of the industry structure, market drivers, issues, trends and competition. The study analyzes recent past, current and future market data and analytics over the period 2000-2010 and long term projections (2011-2015) for regions including the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Rest of World. Segments analyzed in the study include Dietary Supplements (Vitamins, Minerals, Herbals, Non-Herbals and Others), and Functional Foods.

The report discusses key players in the global and regional nutraceuticals market including Bactolac Pharmaceutical, Inc., Archer Daniels Midland Company, BASF Human Nutrition, Bayer Healthcare AG, Ceapro, Inc., GlaxoSmithKline plc, Laboratoires Arkopharma SA, Leiner Health Products, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, Inc., Natrol, Inc., Nestlé Nutrition, NBTY, Inc., Nutraceutical Corporation, Ocean Nutrition Canada, Perrigo Company, Valensa International and Wyeth Nutrition.

HIGH BANDWIDTH BACKBONE FOR KINGSTON SECURITY SYSTEM

HIGH BANDWIDTH BACKBONE FOR KINGSTON SECURITY SYSTEM

Kingston Communications has just completed a major exercise to harmonise electronic security at all of their UK sites. (PRWEB) April 5, 2002

Kingston Communications has just completed a major exercise to harmonise electronic security at all of their UK sites. With the help of integration specialist Pointer, and the use of smart technology from their own tool kit, the company has been able to upgrade security technology and procedures to create an efficient anti-crime network.

Kingston's dilemma was one of growth and success. Throughout the late 80's and 90's the company grew through the creation of new business units, the acquisition of niche services and by geographical expansion of UK coverage. Kingston found itself with 15 operating units and an estate with around 35 properties including depots, warehouses, call centres and offices with many diverse security systems developed for local needs, using different hardware.

Restructuring within the company was the engine for change. Kingston infrastructure is the division that manages the communications network, with responsibility for security. Heading up the security operation is health, safety and security manager Carl Fothergill, "My remit was to create a universal standard for the company, ensuring efficient operation, high levels of security and reliability."

The first stage for Pointer was a thorough review of equipment in use and the development of a unified corporate standard covering access control, intruder defence, detection and response. Many of the legacy systems had Europlex panels of advanced design. These met the new criteria for access control and intruder detection and it was decided to make them standard throughout the whole system.

Kingston infrastructure offer a high bandwidth voice and data Ethernet connection and this provides the two-way communication backbone for both access/alarm systems and for the high definition CCTV. Panasonic hardware is used throughout the CCTV network and at the communication nodes.

With the new system Kingston can monitor all sites around the clock. Personnel can access sites easily using tokens that are simply swiped through readers to unlock doors. These tokens identify the person and specify their access profile. They can be easily reprogrammed should shift patterns or needs change, while lost or stolen tokens can be easily cancelled. The system provides a full audit trail of personnel movement.

High resolution CCTV monitors all sites. The centralised control room can scrutinise visitors, authorise entry and discreetly track them through the premises. Outside normal hours, motion control on cameras allows operators to pinpoint intruders and start the appropriate security response. Again all incidents and actions are logged.

Carl Fothergill explained, "We have taken what was a fragmented security infrastructure and created a unified network that protects our property and personnel. Using our own advanced communication network we have been able to ensure transmission of high resolution images as well as two-way voice traffic giving us efficiency and flexibility. We can even undertake remote diagnostics should any part of the system go wrong."

41 Dinners From One Bag of Groceries? With One Cookbook Author's 'Smart Ingredients', It's In the Bag

41 Dinners From One Bag of Groceries? With One Cookbook Author's 'Smart Ingredients', It's In the Bag

Cooking instructor and cookbook author Kelly Donlea of Organizing Dinner shows how more than 40 different dinners can be made from one bagful of "Smart Ingredients", providing needed financial and time-saving relief at dinnertime.

Barrington, IL (PRWEB) October 27, 2009

As the old saying goes "You can give a person a fish and feed them for a day, or teach them to fish and feed them for a lifetime." Cookbook author and cooking instructor Kelly Donlea does just that for people struggling to answer the "what's for dinner?" question night after night after night.

Donlea takes the "ingredient clutter" out of many everyday recipes, streamlining ingredients so you can much more easily have on hand what you need for dinner success. Other cooking instructors, 99% of cookbooks, and the majority of cooking shows present one recipe at a time, with a unique set of ingredients. This answers one night's dinner needs. Those facing a potential of 20 years (more than 7,000 days) of feeding their families dinner need more than one night's strategy at a time. What Donlea offers her audience, through her "Shop Smart to Make More with Less" program and cookbook 70 Meals, One Trip to the Store, are strategies for a lifetime of dinner success. She takes a step back from one night's dinner, and teaches her audience to shop smart, know their personal success shortcuts, and to employ an offensive "I can do this" rather than defensive "ugh, dinner" approach.

Though she teaches in studios, and classrooms, Donlea has lately been bringing her program into people's homes for individual and group instruction, and has become a favorite "Mom's Night Out" activity. On November 12th, Donlea will take her program to an in-home meeting of a Palatine, IL Moms Meetup group. She will teach the 20 Meetup members strategies for manning their kitchens on the offensive at dinnertime, including them hands-on in the cooking process. According to Donlea, "Many people think of dinner as an annoyance. If they instead, can learn to tackle a hot, healthy, homemade dinner with a lot less stress, and a feeling of accomplishment, while also saving time and money, it brings a needed victory for the everyday woman struggling with today's busy lifestyle."

Donlea enjoys how much people are amazed at how much she can make with how little she brings to a class. A typical class menu includes an appetizer, a soup and two main courses from a small stash of ingredients that cost well under $50 total. In addition to some fresh meat, Donlea uses a versatile combination of what she calls "Smart" ingredients, that includes canned diced tomatoes, chicken broth and black beans, that fit into one average sized grocery bag [photo attached]. Radio host Jessie Menendez who hosted Donlea doing her "Shop Smart to Make More with Less" program on Oct. 3, 2009, likened Donlea to a pop-up book, saying "you came in here with barely anything and "Pop!" out came all this delicious food."

Kelly Donlea's time-tested cookbook provides more than just delicious recipes. The 70 Meals, One Trip to the Store plan eliminates stress by providing long-term and short-term shopping lists, and integrating a flexible meal plan. Donlea says that customer feedback "has been amazing."

"There's an overwhelming sense of peace in knowing that you have options," says Jean Masukevich-- Yoga instructor and mother-of-four, "… not to mention having the ingredients on hand."

Donlea continues to present her programs all across the Chicagoland area in public venues, or group parties and individual instruction in people's homes. Bonuses Soar With Barter Trade Exchange of America Members Giving Year End Bonuses

Bonuses Soar With Barter Trade Exchange of America Members Giving Year End Bonuses

Many members of Trade Exchange of America (TEA), one of the nationÂ’s oldest and largest privately held trade exchanges, have turned to barter to reward their employees, increase their business through advertising and marketing programs, free up cash resources and to thank their customers.

(PRWEB) December 20, 2002

Oak Park, Mich.,– The employees of Troy, Mich. based Quality Metal Images not only had a holiday party this year, but will be receiving holiday gifts. The party, employee gifts and even customer gifts were paid for using Trade Exchange of AmericaÂ’s Barter Dollars. Many members of Trade Exchange of America (TEA), one of the nationÂ’s oldest and largest privately held trade exchanges, have turned to barter to reward their employees, increase their business through advertising and marketing programs, free up cash resources and to thank their customers.

Across the nation, many businesses have been forced to tighten their belts, reducing employee incentives, marketing budgets and business expenditures due to the economy. A study by Hewitt Associates showed that year-end bonuses are dwindling, down to forty-nine percent of the business population in 2002. Mercer Human Resource Consulting announced that forty percent of businesses that gave annual bonuses will not be doing so this year.

TEA members faced with the prospect of not having the cash flow to reward employees have found a solution by using trade their TEA dollars. Companies can even set up debit accounts for their employees to use the trade dollars as they see fit. If a business gives an employee a trade bonus, the employee can spend the dollars on health costs such as optical or dental, contracting, gifts, travel, dining, or any of the thousands of products and services offered through TEA. Members use trade to pay employee bonuses, commissions, raises, incentives, health costs and more.

A year and a half ago, Paul and Chris Hayes of Warren, Mich. based P&C Landscape initiated a Trade Dollar bonus program as a sales incentive for their employees. "Our employees love the flexibility of using their bonus dollars. The program allows us to reward our employees in an economy where every dollar counts. Trade Exchange of AmericaÂ’s barter system has enabled us to not only sustain our business despite the economy, but also reward our employees for their hard work, develop advertising programs and purchase job materials." States co-owner, Paul Hayes.

Each year the Arbor Brewing Company of Ann Arbor, Mich. uses their TEA Trade Dollars to fund their employee outing. According to co-owner, Renee Greff, "Our participation with Trade Exchange of America allows us to do things we might normally not spend cash on, such as our yearly employee outing. Additionally, TEA has enabled us to offset historical cash business expenditures such as hood cleaning and printing needs, not to mention that TEA has been instrumental in helping us grow our business."

Barter could very well be the boon for steadying the unsettled economy. Trade Exchange of America reports a 20% increase in new members over the past year. Many TEA members are reporting a record year of business growth despite the slow economy.

The New York Times recently reported that barter arrangements have been gaining in popularity, especially in weaker economies and that nearly a third of all global transactions can be defined as barter. Nearly a third of all businesses are involved in some form of barter and more than 65 percent of the corporations listed with the New York Stock Exchange are using it to reduce surplus inventory, bolster sales or ensure that production facilities run at near capacity.

"Through both solid and precarious economies, many of our members creatively reward their employees and customers with barter bonuses. We wanted to make it easy for our members to initiate these programs, the ease of the employee accounts has helped a record number of our members implement incentive and bonus programs," cites TEA founder and president, Frederick Detwiler. "Since cash flow is usually tighter during a soft economy, innovative business minds turn to barter. By accruing trade dollars, our members are able to conserve their hard cash reserves and increase their bottom lines. With trade dollars they are able to purchase business equipment, contract for business services, advertise and reward their employees for jobs well done."

TEA was one of the first trade exchanges in the country to introduce a successful Internet based business model, www. tradefirst. com. Its more than 5000 members are promoted within the exchange via proactive brokering by its staff, targeted e-mails, banner ads on its Web Site, newsletters, faxes, a membership directory and sponsorship of trade expositions. Local and global organizations belong to TEA and members find that the benefits of barter are as varied and creative as they choose. TEA members cite increased cash flows, expanded customer bases, expanded utilization of inventories and manufacturing facilities, improved employee benefits, increased profits, and the attainment of tangibles and luxury items that may have seemed unattainable in the past.

Trade dollars are the parallel of cash dollars. Many companies who actively barter analyze their cash expenditures and convert many of those cash transactions to trade dollar transactions. Unlike one-on-one trade transactions that force participants to be dependent on one another to provide the exact goods and services needed by each of the respective participating companies, membership in exchanges such as TEA offer members the opportunity to trade for what they need, when they need it. Much like a bank, TEA tracks deposits and withdrawals, assists in brokering deals and provides the availability of lines of credit to its members. The International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA) cited that trade volume has surged in North America. It is estimated that more than $16 billion was bartered last year in the U. S. alone, with barter becoming one of the fastest-growing segments of the world's economy.

About Trade Exchange of America:

Trade Exchange of America (TEA) is a nationwide e-commerce network of businesses that work together, trading their goods and services in order to generate new business, offset cash expenses, and increase profits by utilizing excess capacity and inventory.

TEA has been an innovative leader in the rapidly growing e-commerce business-to-business model of computerized barter. Since opening in 1978, TEA has become one of the largest independently-owned trade exchanges in the country, with over 5,000 member companies providing thousands of different products and services. Through its Web Site, www. tradefirst. com, TEA effectively brings the benefits of barter to companies throughout the country, with the added ability of being able to provide current members with full account and listing information, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Trade Exchange of America has operated multiple regional trading centers in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida, and has strong relationships with the most prominent barter companies throughout the U. S. and the world.

I look forward to seeing how our 90,000 members around the world use this easy service to create and publish their own cookbooks."

With just a few clicks, cooks can select the recipes they want to include in a book and the order in which they should appear, choose a cover design and title, and upload a cover photo. After the selections have been made, it just takes one click of a mouse and a few seconds to generate an online preview of the completed book product.

The user then has a choice of previewing the book and purchasing it immediately, or personalizing it further. This is when personal notes, stories and photographs can be added. The application is also fully collaborative, enabling users to invite family and friends into their personal and secure book making space to contribute additional information. Individuals invited into the space can also make their own book if they like.

"As a company that focuses on simplifying the book making process as much as possible, we are delighted that BigOven is giving users the choice to start from scratch or select a themed book," said Caroline Vanderlip, Chief Executive Officer, SharedBook Inc. "The BigOven Cookbook is also a perfect example of the type of application that can be built using SharedBook's API, which is available for all to use."

Pricing begins at $29.95 in a perfect bound softcover format and $38.99 for a coil in case bound format for lay-flat use in the kitchen. These prices include a full-color 20-page book with free U. S. shipping and a readable flipbook version of the book that can be virally distributed. Additional pages can be added at a rate of $1 for each additional two pages.

For those that have large collections of handwritten or electronic recipes, White Glove Service is available for an additional $25 fee. Recipes can be sent to SharedBook for scanning, or submitted electronically if the content is already in Word or e-mail format. SharedBook will then add the recipes to the cookbook.

Miracle on the Hudson Co-Pilot Helps Passengers Return to the Sky

Miracle on the Hudson Co-Pilot Helps Passengers Return to the Sky

Jeffrey Skiles, co-pilot of US Airways Flight 1549 "The Miracle on the Hudson", which last January made an amazing successful emergency water landing in the Hudson River, is once again lending help to airline passengers in their time of need.

Waunakee, WI (PRWEB) January 26, 2010

Jeffrey Skiles, co-pilot of US Airways Flight 1549 "The Miracle on the Hudson", which last January made an amazing successful emergency water landing in the Hudson River, is once again lending help to airline passengers in their time of need.

Skiles has recently contributed a gripping and informational foreword to the Takeoff Today Program, a popular program developed for individuals seeking to overcome their fear of flying available at http://www. FearofFlyingPhobia. com (http://www. FearofFlyingPhobia. com). In the foreword, Skiles speaks candidly about his experience on Flight 1549, how it effected his life as a pilot, and precisely how he was able to return to the cockpit within two brief weeks without the fear that one may would expect from someone who lived through the events of Flight 1549.

Rich Presta, the author of the Takeoff Today Program states, “A fear of flying can be very debilitating and may get in the way of people fostering relationships with friends and family, advancing at work, or simply experiencing all that easy and efficient air travel has to offer. During the creation of the Takeoff Today Program, we worked very closely with many seasoned pilots, flight attendants, aircraft mechanics, air traffic controllers, and other professionals in the aviation industry to ensure we provide the best information for conquering flying anxiety possible, but we are certainly grateful and fortunate to have such a powerful contribution from someone as noteworthy as Jeffrey Skiles who together with Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger proved their bravery that January day.”

Research has estimated that as many as twenty five percent of people grapple with a fear of flying and that the true number of individuals who avoid flying completely due to fear in the US alone is measured in the multiple millions. The contribution Skiles has made will allow those seeking to overcome their fear of flying to obtain a much clearer understanding of flight from a pilots’ point of view and goes to great lengths to shatter long standing misconceptions about flight that cause needless anxiety for many airline passengers.

Skiles is not only without fear since he has returned to his job as a commercial pilot, but he further goes on to point out, “As a pilot of great experience who has literally survived a plane crash, I anxiously await my next flight. When you close that cockpit door, you leave all the troubles of the world on the other side. You are transported to a world of great beauty. There is no experience quite like picking your way through a thunderstorm line at 37,000 feet. Watching the storm cells grow and roil like living things before your eyes; the cloud tops blowing off the top downwind. Or the beauty of the night sky on a red eye flight. There’s something about leaving the earth that puts all the things you thought were important in perspective"

Skiles’ foreword and a other free resources for fearful fliers can found on the Takeoff Today Program website at http://www. FearofFlyingPhobia. com (http://www. FearofFlyingPhobia. com). Program author Presta added, “It’s critical to me personally that those with a fear of flying have the opportunity to access the information needed to feel more comfortable flying and overcome their fear, so I work hard to make it easy for anyone to learn the facts about flying so they can put their fears behind them and move on with their life without restrictions.”

Rich Presta developed the Takeoff Today Program after successfully overcoming his own severe fear of flying. His programs and books on anxiety and fears have been seen in Psychology Today and Natural Health magazines, as well as on Discovery Health channel, and MSNBC. Jeffrey Skiles was the First Officer on Flight 1549, has been flying for over 34 years and has logged over 20,000 hours of flying time. For more information on the Takeoff Today Program or to obtain a complimentary copy of the foreword authored by Jeffery Skiles, visit http://www. FearofFlyingPhobia. com (http://www. GourmetGiftBaskets. com will break the Guinness Book of World Record for the World’s Largest Cup of Coffee when 2,010 gallons of fresh coffee will be brewed into a 8x8 foot specially constructed coffee mug, breaking the current world record of 911.5 gallons set in 2007. This will be accomplished at Blog World Expo, October 15, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas. Proceeds from the sampling and photographs will benefit Susan G. Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure, a program encouraging people to wear pink, raise funds and fight breast cancer.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 13, 2010

WHAT: The Motto is 2,010 in 2010! GourmetGiftBaskets. com will break the Guinness Book of World Record for the World’s Largest Cup of Coffee when 2,010 gallons of fresh coffee will be brewed into a 8x8 foot specially constructed coffee mug, breaking the current world record of 911.5 gallons set in 2007. 2,010 gallons is equivalent to 32,160 cups of fresh brewed coffee.

WHO: GourmetGiftBaskets. com, #238 on the Inc. 5000 list of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the U. S., broke the Guinness World Record in August 2009 for the World's Largest Cupcake. Enjoying the challenge and accomplishment of breaking a world record, GourmetGiftBaskets. com president and CEO, Ryan Abood states this will not be the last record he will “brew” up or that his company will break. An experienced team of roughly ten employees will now attempt to more than double the current record for the World’s Largest Cup of Coffee.

“I’m a businessman and am always thinking outside of the box to promote a fun work environment for my employees,” says Abood. “I want everyone that works for me to be successful and be proud of what they do. Breaking a record is a huge accomplishment.”

Companies aiding in the breaking of this record include: Terracon Corporation of Boston is supplying the storage tank that will be the foundation of the cup, Chisel Productions Inc. of Georgia is constructing a coffee cup and handle around the tank using a sculpted foam with a hard polyurethane finish, Kerry/ X Cafe of Princeton, MA to provide the 100 percent Columbian Arabica blend coffee, Logo Loc LTD of New Hampshire is providing quality custom t-shirts, Marich Confectionary of California donated samples of their Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans and Bunn-O-Matic Corporation of Springfield, IL is supplying the high volume coffee dispensers designed to meet the requirements of the world record attempt.

This event will also raise money, through donations for sampling two ounce cups of coffee and for photos with the world’s largest cup of coffee. All proceeds from the sampling and photographs will benefit Susan G. Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure, a program encouraging people to wear pink, raise funds and fight breast cancer.

WHEN: The brewing will begin at 4 a. m., Friday October 15 and should take 4-5 hours, brewing approximately 250 gallons per hour.

The record will officially be announced by a Guinness Book of World Record’s representative at 12 p. m. October 15.

Lisa Barone, Chief Branding Officer of Outspoken Media and Social Media celeb, will be pouring the last cup of coffee into the cup when the record is declared.

WHERE: Blog World Expo, the world's largest blogging social media conference in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, South Pacific Ballroom; Booth #335.

WHY: Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day, or equivalent to 146 Billion cups of coffee per year; making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world. Abood saw this statistic and knew a record involving coffee was one to break.

“Coffee is a product consumers can relate to,” says Abood. “We wake up craving a cup, and when it’s gone, we almost always go for more. I wanted to create a cup of coffee that many of us only dream about in our most tired of states!”

HOW: This world record attempt will require two 60 Amp 208 Volt Three Phase power supplies, two directly plumbed water lines providing 3 gallons per minute and the equivalent of 89,305 times the amount of coffee needed to brew your standard 8oz cup of coffee.

We Often Think of Prayer as a Means of Calling Upon Our Heavenly Father saying, ‘Give me this. I need that. I what it now. Lord, I’m drowning. Help me! Save me!’ Prayer Should be Something We Do On a Continual Basis, Not Just When We Want Something or Are in Trouble

We Often Think of Prayer as a Means of Calling Upon Our Heavenly Father saying, ‘Give me this. I need that. I what it now. Lord, I’m drowning. Help me! Save me!’ Prayer Should be Something We Do On a Continual Basis, Not Just When We Want Something or Are in Trouble.

Every one of us must step up a notch and do what God has called us to do. The most important thing that He has called us to have is a lifestyle of prayer. In Ephesians 6:18 Paul writes, “Pray at all times - on every occasion, in every season - in the Spirit, with all prayer and entreaty.” (Amplified Bible)

(PRWEB) October 1, 2004

Taking in oxygen is vital to our life. If one does not continually receive oxygen, they will die! Imagine if on each worship day we say, ‘Okey, IÂ’m going to take my gulp of oxygen for this week.Â’ It would not be long before we kill over! We have to breathe oxygen on a daily basis, every hour, and every minute. Prayer is our Spiritual oxyen. We need it continually. But too many times, people pray on worship days, and think they donÂ’t need to pray any more that week. They may pray before meals, and think that they are all prayed up. Then they wonder why they are not living a victorious life. It is because they only take one gulp of prayer for the week or month. That is not enough to get by. To be victorious and Spiritually healthy, we must live a life of prayer.

Many people have been taught about prayer, but if we donÂ’t actually pray, we will not really learn how to experience prayer. It is important that we learn how to pray. It is even more important that we practice prayer. Prayer is not easy. It takes work, and the enemy tries to keep us from praying. Evil offers so many distractions to consume our time. Why doesnÂ’t Evil wants us to pray? Evil knows there is power in prayer. God has a plan for each of us, and it is important that we learn to follow the plan of God for our life. How do we follow that plan? We pray out the plan of God!

"I am going to be obedient, and to share what I have learned and practiced concerning effective prayer. Lately, I have led out a prayer group for our church. I not only teach prayer, but we use the “Effective Prayer Pamphlet” to do the meditations and effective prayer in our groups." God knows how important prayer is. That is why He gave us instructions to pray and instructions on how to pray. Even Evil knows how important prayer is. Now it is time for us to realize it’s importance and to devote ourselves to a lifestyle of prayer.

NYC Fashion Photographer, Eric Bean, Debunks Common Myths About Modeling

NYC Fashion Photographer, Eric Bean, Debunks Common Myths About Modeling

NYC fashion photographer, Eric Bean, debunks common myths in the modeling industry in his book, "The Complete Guide for Models: Insiders Advice from Industry Professionals".

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 23, 2007

NYC fashion photographer, Eric Bean, explains the "hard truths" about the modeling industry, in his book, "The Complete Guide for Models: Insider Advice from Industry Professionals". The advice comes from working with top fashion insiders, including successful models, modeling agents, agency owners, casting directors, magazine editors, makeup artists, and health professionals. These experts debunk myths about the modeling profession and shed light on common scams that plague the industry.

Eric debunks myths about the "Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll" perception most people have about the modeling industry. "A healthy lifestyle is essential to maintaining a long lasting career as a model. When i am casting for a photo shoot, i can see over 200 models. They are all auditioning for one job. I am looking for healthy skin, a beautiful face, correct proportions, and a great attitude. It's very tough competition out there, you have to stand out as a Star. If a model stays out all night partying, it shows on her face, even if she's a teenager. Even with high tech retouching these days, we want a "natural beauty" not a party girl." " Agents are hesitant to work with a "Paris Hilton " or "Lindsay Lohan" type of party personality, for fear of losing a profitable job or even a client." Eric says "Not everyone has the perfect combination of hard work ethics, height, personality, or the "X Factor" to become a supermodel. Those traits all have to blend together to make the ideal working model". Natural beauty is just one part of becoming a successful model, Eric details the other 9 traits in his book, along with important information on the business of modeling and maintaining a long lasting career.

Eric's conversations with fashion modeling "legends" such as supermodel Carmen Dell'Orefice, and owner of FORD Models, Katie Ford, sheds light on the the tough and demanding road to becoming a model. Eric discusses, in his book, the steps from being "discovered" to maintaining a long-lasting career. He explains the "behind the scenes" details of a New York City fashion shoot to find out what it's really like. Whether you dream of becoming the next supermodel, or just hope to supplement your income with exciting modeling work, this book gives you the facts directly from people in the fashion industry.

Eric Bean is a fashion photographer who is based out of New York City. Eric started his photography career 20 years ago shooting for every major modeling agency in NYC. Soon after he became a popular fashion photographer that has photographed many prestigious worldwide ad campaigns. Eric has worked with such distinguished companies as Harry Winston Jewelers, Salvatore Ferragamo, Avon Worldwide, Bill Blass and W Hotels. His online portfolio can be viewed at www. EricBean. com. His book can be found at most major bookstores or online.

AQUA-Block BB Stops Leaks in Basements Made of Blocks, Bricks or Fieldstone

AQUA-Block BB Stops Leaks in Basements Made of Blocks, Bricks or Fieldstone

Aquaseal USA Inc. manufactures a line of innovative and environmentally friendly products for exterior and interior basement waterproofing. Aquaseal has just added a new product, AQUA-BLock BB, to its Aqua-Stop line of products that permanently fix problems with wet and leaking basements.

Niagara Falls, NY (PRWEB) November 15, 2005

Aquaseal USA Inc. has just added another innovative product to its Aqua-Stop line of waterproofing for leaking basements. AQUA-Block BB is a user friendly, ‘do it yourself’ product that will allow the homeowner to fix a leaking basement from the inside without the need for costly construction work or excavating around the outside perimeter of the house. Incorporating the latest European waterproofing technology, AQUA-Block BB is a commercial grade of product that can withstand 100 psi of negative or positive hydrostatic pressure, which is equivalent to 200 feet deep in the ground.

A common problem with many new and older homes is damp or wet basements, especially in basements constructed with cement or cinder blocks. A recent study of new home construction revealed that almost 40% of new homes built in the U. S. develop problems with leaking basements, leading to mold and mildew growth, and the resulting health and liability issues. Homeowners faced with this problem usually have two choices – one is to have a contractor dig up around the outside of the house and re-waterproof the foundation which means landscaping, decks, patios, etc. have to be removed and then replaced. The second choice is equally invasive and expensive and involves a contractor digging up the perimeter of the interior basement and installing a weeping tile system. This does not stop the water entering the basement, but instead, gives it somewhere to drain to and in homes with a finished basement means that the floors and walls have to be refinished once the work is completed.

Like Aqua-Stop for concrete foundations, AQUA-Block BB is an economical and easy method to permanently stop water coming through the basement walls. AQUA-Block BB comes in powder form and is mixed with tap water and then applied to wet concrete basement walls or floor with the brush provided in the kit. The product forms a very strong bond with the surface that can withstand 100 psi of hydrostatic pressure, and a residential foundation would be well below the tested limits of this product. It is safe and easy for the homeowner to apply, and contains no fumes or toxic chemicals. Two coats are recommended and the product leaves a clean, white matte finish on the walls that can be painted or tiled over as the homeowner desires.

About Aquaseal USA Inc.

In addition to the Aqua-Stop line of basement waterproofing products, Aquaseal manufactures a line of exterior water based, liquid rubber waterproofing coatings that are designed to provide the builder with a cost effective, safe, and environmentally friendly waterproofing for the foundations of new homes or commercial buildings. All Aquaseal products come with a 30 Year Warranty and can be used on standard concrete foundations or ICF construction (insulated concrete forms).

Cause of Sarcoidosis is Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria; FDA Asked to Designate Orphan Drugs for Further Clinical Trials

Cause of Sarcoidosis is Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria; FDA Asked to Designate Orphan Drugs for Further Clinical Trials

The Autoimmunity Research Foundation announced that its Phase 2 clinical trials have confirmed antibiotic-resistant bacteria as the cause of Sarcoidosis, the deadly disease which took Reggie WhiteÂ’s life, and that applications for designation of three antibacterials as Orphan Products have been filed with the Food and Drug Administration.

Thousand Oaks, California (PRWEB) October 4, 2005

The Autoimmunity Research Foundation today announced that its Phase 2 clinical trials had confirmed antibiotic-resistant bacteria as the cause of Sarcoidosis, the deadly disease which took Reggie WhiteÂ’s life, and that applications for designation of three antibacterials as Orphan Products have been filed with the Food and Drug Administration.

The Foundation has been conducting Phase 2 trials for the past three years, working with dozens of individual physicians and specialists to establish both an understanding of the pathogenesis, and of effective anti-bacterial dosing regimes. Over two hundred of their patients have subsequently recovered, or are currently recovering, from this debilitating disease.

The applications to the FDA will facilitate Phase 3 trials leading to final FDA designation of these drugs for Sarcoidosis.

Trevor G. Marshall, PhD, a Foundation Director, has discovered and published exactly how slow-growing, intra-phagocytic bacteria can cause chronic disease. The antibiotics needed for recovery are neither expensive nor new, but Dr. Marshall and his colleagues have developed a method of using them which is both new and revolutionary.

In March 2005, the Foundation held an international conference where physicians and patients attended sessions focused on understanding this deadly disease. Experts described how tiny intra-phagocytic bacteria - called L-forms, after the Lister Institute, where they were discovered – are the cause of Sarcoid inflammation. Patients described what they had experienced as they recovered their health using the innovative antibiotic regimen.

One single mother described how she had struggled to tell her 13 year old son that she was dying, and that she would never be able to leave her wheelchair. Two years later, she is walking again, albeit with a cane, enjoying being a ‘soccer mom.’ Another patient explained she had been forced to give up competitive show jumping as Sarcoidosis made her weaker, selling her prized horse as she was confined to a spinal brace and anticipating a wheelchair. Now she is riding again in competition, with her health steadily improving.

Yesterday, the Nobel Prize Committee issued a press release announcing the 2005 Nobel Prize in Medicine; stating, inter alia, “Many diseases in humans such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis are due to chronic inflammation. The discovery that one of the most common diseases of mankind, peptic ulcer disease, has a microbial cause, has stimulated the search for microbes as possible causes of other chronic inflammatory conditions.”

It should be noted that Sarcoidosis is a chronic inflammatory condition, and that Dr. Trevor Marshall is no relation to Dr. Barry Marshall, although they are both alumni of the University of Western Australia and trained in the same QEII Medical Center in Perth, Western Australia, during the same time period (early ‘80s).

More States Reviewing Nonviolent Drug Offender Sentencing Laws

More States Reviewing Nonviolent Drug Offender Sentencing Laws

Referring nonviolent drug offenders to effective rehabilitation programs saves lives and money

(PRWEB) December 5, 2004

The Sentencing Project by the Justice Policy Institute reported in 2000 that with mass releases of prisoners in Russia, the United States surged ahead to have the highest incarceration rate in the world. With 2,071,686 persons incarcerated in 2000, the United States, with just 5% of the worldÂ’s population, has roughly a quarter of the worldÂ’s prisoners.

Along with these hefty numbers come big bills. It cost Americans $25.96 billion to imprison 1.3 million non-violent offenders in the year 2000, meaning our nation spent 50% more than the entire $16.6 billion the federal government spent on welfare programs to serve 8.5 million people. What are the results of this spending other than bigger and more prisons and jails with an ever-increasing budget demand? Some prisons are now facing the issue of even medical costs and even geriatric wards in addition to regular inmate housing facilities.

Sixty percent of the growth in the federal prison population over the last twenty years has been due to drug offender commitments. Many states are now reviewing and changing their sentencing laws for nonviolent drug offenders.

Pennsylvania passed a new measure that would relax mandatory sentencing guidelines for nonviolent alcohol and other drug offenders, according to the Associated Press last week. With the policy change, Pennsylvania joins a growing number of other states that are taking action against tough mandatory sentencing laws that were passed in the 1990s.

With an average cost of nearly $30,000 per inmate per year, multiple-year sentences add up, but with effective rehabilitation for these offenders, that money can be spent on improving our nationÂ’s healthcare and education. Pennsylvania is expected to save more than $20 million a year in reduced prison costs alone. Drug addicted individuals referred to effective rehabilitation programs not only save the states money through immediate referrals but have also shown to reduce the rate of criminal recidivism.

One organization that is continually producing long-term results throughout the world for rehabilitating nonviolent alcohol and other drug offenders is the Narconon® Drug Rehabilitation and Education Program.

Narconon literally means "narcotics-none" and was founded by a former heroin addict named William Benitez in Arizona State Prison in 1966. 38 years later, Narconon is still considered a new, proven approach to ending addiction through the rehabilitation research and methodology of L. Ron Hubbard. This program is totally drug-free and it consists of communication and confront exercises, sauna detoxification to rid the body of the old drug residues and a series of courses that empower former addicts through learning life skills.

The practical workability of the Narconon® Program’s social education model continually achieves extremely high success rates for helping individuals to overcome their addiction and become happy, ethical and productive members of society while remaining stably drug-free.

The overwhelming issue of substance abuse affects nearly every individual in one way or another. If you would like to seek help for a loved or are interested in learning more about the program, contact Narconon Arrowhead today by calling 1-800-468-6933 or log on to www. stopaddiction. com for a free assessment or referral.
