Norvax Renews VeriSign Certification To Maintain Highest Level of Client Trust

* VeriSign Certificate confirms Norvax commitment to client privacy and information security.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 3, 2008

Norvax, the #1 provider of technology and Internet tools for insurance sales, has been recertified by VeriSign, the most recognized name in online security.

Unlike other certification authorities that only confirm the domain name, a VeriSign certificate digs deeper. The VeriSign Extended Validation Secure Socket Layer (EV SSL) certificate confirms that VeriSign has verified the ownership of the domain, as well as the existence of a legal business and the authority of the person requesting the certification.

In addition, the VeriSign Extended Validation SSL uses a more secure 128-bit encryption and is designed to work with high-security web browsers to clearly identify a website's corporate or organizational identity. With the EV SSL, VeriSign also takes the extra step of verifying the physical address of the business.

"Many companies don't bother with getting an SSL certificate, let alone take the extra steps required by VeriSign for its Extended Validation SSL," said Shane Cruz, vice president of IT for Norvax. "But the importance of building a higher level of trust with our agents and their clients made this investment a no-brainer."

An SSL certificate allows websites to securely encrypt sensitive information during online transactions. The problem with basic SSL technology is that it secures the transaction but says little about the domain owner or business behind the website.

With a VeriSign certification, online customers know they're dealing with a verified business entity.
The Norvax EV SSL certificate was obtained for the BrokerOffice lead management system, the premier CRM tool for health insurance agents (http://www. norvax. com/products/broker-office. html). BrokerOffice is part of the Norvax suite of health insurance sales automation tools (http://www. norvax. com). It allows agents and brokers to track, manage, communicate with and guide each of their qualified prospects to a successful closing. Agents and health insurance buyers alike can rest assured that their data transactions are secure and protected.
