Cash Prizes for Talented School and College Students

The world’s first on-line content portal for independent music and film, has launched a competition for school and college students worldwide.

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) February 2, 2006

A new school year is underway and in every school and college there’s a hidden pool of creative talent amongst the students which deserves to be exposed to the world. Unfortunately, up until now, this hasn’t been a possibility.

But now Boost Digital, the world’s first on-line content portal for independent music and film, has launched a competition for school students worldwide.

Fresh Express Group, www. freshexpress. com. au, providers of healthy choice school and college canteen food and service, is sponsoring the “Boost-Digital Student Online Arts Festival”, which carries a prize of AU$1,000 for the winning student and AU$1,000 for the winning school in each of four categories making a total cash prize of AU$8,000. (Approx. US$6,000)

On behalf of the Fresh Express Group, Operations Manager Judi Taylor said:

“We are very proud to support and sponsor this great opportunity for students to boost their fresh digital talent online. As the slogan says - It’s time to Shine Online.”

Judi Taylor also commented that the school principals and students who she has already spoken to about the Digital Arts Festival are extremely keen to participate and have their students involved.

Boost Digital Group CEO Graeme Logan said: “This is an exciting opportunity for students at schools and colleges who are talented in the digital arts to expand their horizons. We at Boost Digital are dedicated to encouraging the young talents of tomorrow.”

Students are invited to create a music track, short film, digital still photographs or an online game.

An expert panel will evaluate the entries in the four categories plus the results of online voting and will announce the winners in Sydney, Australia Monday 30 October 2006.

Winners will receive free exposure of their work on the Boost Digital website plus the cash prize of AU$2,000 each to be divided between themselves and their school.

The competition is open to any student attending any school or college on the planet.
