Art4Love Salutes Viktor Schreckengost, "America's Da Vinci", On His Centennial Birthday Celebration

New York, NY, (PRWEB) June 28, 2006

Art4Love Inc. (ALVN. PK) announces that Viktor Scheckengost has joined its international community of artists. Art4Love will be marketing his body of work and participating in the nationwide series of exhibitions and museum shows commemorating the 100th Birthday of one of America’s most influential artists and industrial designers. Viktor Schreckengost has touched nearly every decade of the 20th century with his creative genius, from the landmark icon of the Art deco era “The Jazz Bowl”, to the invention of the cab-over-engine truck design during the 1930’s to his landmark contributions to radar object-recognition that lead to the Allied victory of World War II, to name just a few of many.

It is estimated that every adult in the United States has handled, used, driven, worn, played with, ridden in, collected or otherwise enjoyed objects designed by Viktor Schreckengost or one of his students. While the tally is far from complete, Viktor’s impact on the American economy is estimated to exceed $200 billion. In addition, Viktor Schreckengost has created a significant body of work as a sculptor, ceramist and painter. His fine art pieces number over 1500, cover diverse subjects in several media, and appear in major museums and private collections all over America. Some of his works, like the Jazz Bowl, are considered seminal creations that capture the life and history of our nation.

As close as America has come to claiming her own Leonardo Da Vinci, Viktor spent his career largely unknown among the general public and insiders in the art community. He focused his energies on his work and not self-promotion.

Of the scope of the Foundation's interest, Executive Director Chip Nowacek says, "This Foundation will not properly represent Viktor if we only focus on the history. His legacy also lives in his philosophy and worldview; it deals with the future. Viktor was always looking forward. This Foundation is also about living that legacy, and appropriate activities will develop as his funding becomes available."

"I can hardly express the enormous pride we feel in being associated with such a giant of the arts as Viktor Schreckengost," said Chad Love Lieberman, Founder and CEO of Art4Love. “We are honored to be able to participate in his centennial celebration, congratulate him on his enormous contributions to American culture in the last century and convey our warmest and very best wishes for many more happy, healthy and creative years ahead,” added Mr. Lieberman.
