Optical Image Technology Adds New Members to the Technical Advisory Panel

Panel consists of key industry experts, analysts, and DocFinity® users to shape future of DocFinity products.

State College, PA (PRWEB) July 22, 2006

The Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) to Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT) announces new members. TAP, a volunteer advisory group that has been in existence for one year, counts among its achievements the creation of a roadmap that has aided in the strategy of DocFinity® product enhancements and development.

Scott Buchart, President of OIT, praises this group. “I would like to give TAP an immense amount of credit. They have proven, during our inaugural year of this panel, to be a vital element to the future direction of our product line as well as an independent communications vehicle to and from the rest of our customer and partner base. I look forward to the expansion of this group and its ongoing efforts to help guide OIT well into the future,” says Buchart.

The panel is comprised of OIT customer representatives including Hershey Medical Center, Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company, Penn Independent Corporation, The Pennsylvania State University, Western Southern Financial Group, Computer Document Management Systems (CDMS), and others.

New members serving on the TAP panel for the 2006-2007 fiscal year are: Jason Howard, Manager of Imaging Technology Systems, BMI; Deborah Tilly, Project Manager, City of Madison, WI; and, Luis Torres, Systems Analyst, Hershey Medical Center.

Continuing as co-conveners of the panel will be Steve Mullins of The Ohio State University, Vijay Magon of OITUK Ltd, and Jerry Cannie of Optical Image Technology, Inc. Magon participates from the United Kingdom, bringing international concerns to the group. Additionally, the panel consists of software analysts as well as officers and directors from within OIT. A new internal assignment is Jim Thumma, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Optical Image Technology. Steve Mullins affirms, “Our new members will bring an understanding of the medical community, manufacturing, and government that has not previously been represented on the panel. Their addition will help TAP fulfill its mission to ensure that DocFinity is customer-driven software.”

As stated by Jerry Cannie, Vice President of Technology and Advisor to TAP, “TAP provides insight and perspective as to current and future business needs, and recommends specific enhancements to our software that could better serve these needs. With this information, OIT will be able to provide relevant solutions from which both existing and potential DocFinity customers can benefit, and in turn continue to maintain our strong standing in the EDMS market.”

TAP endeavors to be interactive with both customers and developers in order to shape the direction of the DocFinity software products. The group holds monthly telephone conferences and meets face-to-face semiannually.
