Susan L. Hagood has been named controller for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), one of the global auto industryÂ’s largest trade organizations.

Susan L. Hagood has been named controller for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), one of the global auto industryÂ’s largest trade organizations.

Hagood will be responsible for all of the associationÂ’s financial affairs, including accounting, treasury management, investments and taxes and will report to AIAG Executive Director Andrew J. Cummins.

“Susan’s strong financial background and accounting experience — both inside and outside of AIAG — will make a substantial contribution to the integration of AIAG’s financial goals with our organization’s overall strategic objectives,” said Cummins.

Hagood joined AIAG in 1999 as finance-and-accounting manager. Prior to AIAG, she was vice president of finance and administration for the American Society of Employers (ASE). She also has more than seven years of experience in public accounting with various local CPA firms.

Hagood is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a masterÂ’s degree in taxation from Walsh College and earned her bachelorÂ’s degree in business administration from Eastern Michigan University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).

Hagood resides in Livonia, Mich., and is a native of Belleville, Mich.
