PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) August 18, 2003 -

– Ripple Effects Interactive, Pittsburgh’s largest and most prominent interactive marketing agency, was recently honored by Graphic Design:USA magazine with three 2003 American Graphic Design Awards for its creative work in the multimedia and interactive design and newsletter categories. The winning entries, which were completed on behalf of American Eagle Outfitters, the Canned Food Alliance and the agency itself, reflect Ripple Effects Interactive’s promise and commitment to deliver dynamic, innovative and award-winning creative concepts to its clients.

In the newsletter category, Ripple Effects Interactive won for its design of clothing apparel American Eagle Outfitters’ internal newsletter for employees. The “American Eagle Employee Newsletter,” which is distributed internally every quarter, displayed vibrant imagery that reinforced the brand’s image.

In the multimedia and interactive design category, Ripple Effects Interactive won two awards. One was for the distinguished website design produced for the Canned Food Alliance (www. Mealtime. org) which garnered significant praise from the judges. The website offers consumers recipes, health tips and information about the nutritional benefits of canned food.

The second award was in recognition of the agency’s creative demo piece, “Feel the Groove,” which targeted marketing professionals in the retail industry. The demo, part of the agency’s monthly email campaign, can be accessed at www. r-effects. com/re_email/0503 (http://www. r-effects. com/re_email/0503).

“We were told that, of the hundreds of entries submitted, our work was among the very small percentage that were worthy of distinction,” said Louis Malafarina, chief executive officer at Ripple Effects Interactive.

“The awards we received over the years are nice because they validate our promise to clients; that they can expect to receive the most cutting edge creative design possible, which directly relates to their brand messaging and fits well with their overall communications plan.”

Ripple Effects Interactive is a premier interactive agency that partners with clients to create innovative online programs. In recent years, the agency has received more than 70 creative awards, including the prestigious ID Magazine Gold Award for web design.

The American Graphic Design Awards competition, in its 24th year, is widely considered to be one of the design community’s most esteemed. A panel of prominent graphic art and design professionals judged entries and chose winners based on whether they though the entries qualified as “new, outstanding graphic design, advertising art and marketing communications.”
