The I AM Foundation Starts Blogging for A Million Books for Kids

The I AM Foundation, dedicated to raising a million dollars and a million books for kids, has been gifted a professional blog to start communicating their world tour book contributions.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 29, 2005

Over 380,000 books and music products have made the lives of children happier, thanks to The I AM Foundation. The La Jolla, CA based charity has started communicating their efforts with a new blog, www. millionbooksforkids. com, gifted by two blogging experts, Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D. of The Blog Squad.

“This blog is a place where we can all come together and celebrate in the gifting of books to children around the world,” says Steve Viglione, founder of the I AM Foundation.

The Blog Squad team of Wakeman and Krakoff wanted to contribute more than money and books. “Setting up a blog for Steve and his people at The I AM Foundation seemed a great way to spread the word about the good works of this group, especially since they were heading off to Sri Lanka to contribute 25,000 books to the children affected by the Tsunami,” says Krakoff, a retired psychologist and blogging expert. “Steve can now blog from Sri Lanka when he’s there, and even post photos of the children on the blog.”

The trip to Sri Lanka is scheduled for February 2006, but there is plenty of activity posted on the blog already. For example, they recently raised over $3,000 at an event in San Diego sponsored by Greg Scott Reid and The Millionaire Mentor (www. alwaysgood. com). During the hurricanes, over 10,000 books were shipped to the Gulf region, and another 12,000 have been collected. They are also contributing frequently to the orphanages of Tijuana, Mexico.

“For each dollar we receive we are able to place a book in the hands of a child. Donating joyful books to children of this tragedy will gift them a necessary distraction and give them hope to make it through difficult times,” says Viglione. Blog readers are encouraged to donate to The I AM Foundation through a "Donate" button on the blog. The minimum donation of $2 gives a book to two children.

A book delivered to a child in crisis will shift their energy and support their overall well being when they need it most.

The I AM Foundation is continuously growing a worldwide organization that gifts inspirational books and music. The result is billions of children and adults with a healthy self-image, who love and feel loved, while positively contributing to each other. This domino effect creates a better world for generations to come.

Denise Wakeman, co-member of The Blog Squad team, explains that their contribution and participation is an example of cause marketing. “When we can do some good, and help spread the word through our blog services, our other clients and prospects recognize that we are interested in the greater good.”

“In addition to the donation of a blog, we donate money to the I AM Foundation for each new subscriber to our free newsletter, and everybody wins.”
