ABCD Eat Right Sets the Stage Early for Healthy Eating Habits

A rapidly growing number of young Americans are obese, prone to more food intolerances and diseases affecting the overall learning and nutritive environment of the majority of learning institutions around the country. As a Registered Dietitian and mother of two young children, Brandi Thompson RD, LD/N founded ABCD Eat Right with a mission to educate the community, especially educators and parents, about what it means to live a healthy lifestyle not only for ourselves but also for our children.

A rapidly growing number of young Americans are obese, prone to more food intolerances and diseases affecting the overall learning and nutritive environment of the majority of learning institutions around the country. As a Registered Dietitian and mother of two young children, Brandi Thompson RD, LD/N founded ABCD Eat Right with a mission to educate the community, especially educators and parents, about what it means to live a healthy lifestyle not only for ourselves but also for our children.

ABCD Eat Right has targeted preschools, daycares, and private schools to distribute her message on eating healthy, starting a school garden, and incorporating physical activity. Her healthy habits campaign launched in 2010 has received positive feedback from the South Florida community.

Brandi Thompson is a registered dietician in private practice. She holds a degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Certificate in Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. Since 2001, Brandi has developed a successful nutrition consulting practice. She began her career as a dietician at Houston’s world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. Since 2005, Brandi has consulted for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, long term care centers and mental health centers in South Florida. She specializes in menu planning, kitchen sanitation, and writing policies and procedures to better the community’s nutritional well-being.
