In the past, Bob Barker Company delivered the majority of their employee training and development courses through customized onsite facilitated courses in a group setting. Although this approach to training was effective and well received, it became increasingly difficult to manage and deliver equitably each year due to the consistent growth demands of the business. Bob Barker's executive team and HR department realized that they needed to provide a modern vehicle for employee development. With the successful "soft implementation" in place, the Bob Barker Company will roll out the second phase "hard implementation" of the e-learning program this month. During this phase, departments will require employees to complete at least three online courses as defined in their individual work plans and tracked through their individual performance reviews during 2008.
