Stephen & Ondrea Levine Launch New Online Spiritual Community

Renowned Buddhist teachers develop multi-media platform and online community for counseling, guidance, compassion and awareness

Taos, New Mexico (PRWEB) October 12, 2010

Technology and spirituality might not seem like an obvious mix, but renowned teachers Stephen and Ondrea Levine have bridged the gap. Recognizing modern culture’s digital search for companionship and compassion, the bestselling authors have unveiled LevineTalks. com (http://levinetalks. com): a media-rich, interactive teaching platform and spiritual community.

Throughout the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Stephen and Ondrea were pioneers in grief counseling. Combining the compassion of Buddhist teaching with modern psychology, they developed original methods of helping people deal with death and dying. Along with personal counseling via their free 24-hour telephone service, the Levines held seminars on relationships, forgiveness, and loving-kindness. Throughout their journey they collaborated with other Buddhist teachers, including Ram Dass and the Dalai Llama. Acclaimed author Jack Kornfield said of Stephen and Ondrea, "(their) work is among the deepest, most healing and heartful contributions to modern spiritual life in America."

In 2000, after decades of service and facing mounting health difficulties, Stephen and Ondrea decided to retire from public life. They have spent the last ten years in seclusion in northern New Mexico. Though they continued writing, until recently the only other Levine media available to the public were old VHS tapes and audio recordings. The loss of readily-accessible insight from the Levines has been felt deeply within the spiritual populace.

LevineTalks. com is a new venue for Stephen and Ondrea to share their teachings. This “online experiment in consciousness,” as Stephen calls it, provides website members with a rich, intimate format to engage and learn. The videos and writings available on the website offer a means of using technology as a catalyst for spiritual healing and reflection, an aspect of our lives too often unrepresented in today’s constantly-connected world. The goal, as Ondrea puts it, is “to continue in the healing that we all took birth for.” To find out more, visit the website at LevineTalks. com (http://levinetalks. com).
