Esd Takes Social Media To A New Level -- Digital Communications Agency the Creators of "Mrs. Munoz Knows Best"

Esd & associates, San Antonio largest digital communications agency takes social medial to a new level with the creation of "Mrs. Munoz Knows Best". The 60 second videos are posted weekly on the University Health System's Facebook page. The witty, in your face character Mrs. Munoz brings serious health topics to the masses.

San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) January 11, 2011

Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, is her audio calling card. She is tiny, has an in-your-face directness and she happens to be San Antonio's latest YouTube sensation. If you haven't seen her yet, "Mrs. Munoz Knows Best" is posted weekly on the University Health System's Facebook page where she talks about a variety of health topics like diabetes, breast health, injury prevention to name a few.

"Mrs. Munoz Knows Best uses humor and a no nonsense approach when talking about health-related issues that every family deals with at one time or another," says Erik Simpson, esd & associates creative director.

There is no direct branding in the 60 second videos but a link to an informative page on the University Health System website is attached. "Mrs. Munoz Knows Best" is not your typical health system video. It's not medical advice from a doctor, nurse or educator. It's just kindly concern from "everybody's grandmother" because people are more likely to take advice from their grandmother than a health professional.

Through wit and humor, esd's brainchild has given the University Health System's brand a real human character in the community. The esd & associates team, which has more than 20 years of broadcast television experience, writes, directs, shoots and edits. esd is San Antonio's largest digital communications agency.

The key to the success is engaging the customer through social media and to not look and sound like a commercial. Consumers connecting through social media aren't going to share an ad. They will share real experiences and that's what Mrs. Munoz brings into their lives.

The videos are getting attention. Mrs. Munoz recently appeared in a news segment on News Four WOAI's 5 and 6:30 p. m. newscasts. University Health System Facebook "Likes" have increased 25 percent since Mrs. Munoz "premiered" at the end of October.

"Advertising has always been about putting a compelling message where the people are," says Simpson. In 2011, they're online, on Facebook and they would rather watch a video than read about it."
