Progressive Radio Network Takes on Controversial H1N1 Vaccine Debate
New York, NY (Vocus) October 23, 2009
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the H1N1 (swine) flu virus is now considered to be widespread in 37 states across the country. They also report that hospitalizations of related cases have been above average for this time of year. This news comes just as the vaccine – and the recommendation that people take it – is set to sweep across most major cities in America. The Progressive Radio Network (PRN), meanwhile, has taken the topic head on.
“At PRN, we are not afraid to engage in a discussion that examines the controversy surrounding this vaccination,” explains Gary Null, PRN founder and author of over 70 books. “This is an issue that the American people care about and want real scientific answers to. There are many reasons why other outlets are not discussing this issue, but we are taking it on daily.”
The fact that PRN is ad - and commercial-free also makes them censorship-free, which allows them to be blunt about this controversial topic, leaving nothing off the table. Issues regarding the H1N1 vaccine that they have been discussing include:
Giving up your rights to object the vaccine. The safety and effectiveness of flu vaccines and all vaccines. The motives of drug companies. How drug companies are being granted immunity from liability issues associated with the vaccine. What you need to know about the H1N1 (swine) flu.
“This is a hot-button topic, right now, and we wouldn’t miss a chance to have an open dialogue to really discuss the issue,” adds Null. “Our shows all touch on it in a different way, yet one thing that is consistent throughout is that this is a candid and much-needed discussion that the American people are craving.”
PRN offers a list of well-known progressive thinkers in their hosting line-up, Dr. Steve Barnett, Danny Schechter, Beth Greer, Jim Turner, Ellen Kamhi and Dr. Henry Grayson Weekly shows cover such topics as the environment, political activism, current affairs and news, health and wellness, natural living, autism, vegetarianism, and more. Listeners can tune in to the shows, which are supported by financial donations from listeners, at www. progressiveradionetwork. com.
