Hip-Hop culture has found it's way in the halls of one of Massachusetts greatest medical facilities, Massachusetts General Hospital. A two-hour meeting held mid-January between Boston rapper/producer/actor, M. C. Spice, Dr. Joseph Biederman, Dr. Tim Wilens, Dr. Janet Wozniak, Dr. Thomas Spencer and Carol Taylor proved a remarkable step forward in getting dialogue for the Black community in regard to mental health awareness.

In related news, Spice plans to release a full-length CD this summer which includes the song, "My Mind Is A Battlefield," and MGH has fully endorsed the song and it's message to the youth who suffer from the disorder. And on April 25th, the rapper plans to host and perform at an invitation-only fundraiser for the hospital P-Diddy style at the swank Whiskey Park nightclub located in the financial district of Downtown Boston.

Diagnosed with Bipolar disorder in 1994, Spice wrote the song during one of his depressive bouts as therapy and has since embarked upon a mission to educate, entertain and enlighten those who suffer from Bipolar and other mental illnesses.
