Thermofab Helps Brookfield Engineering Move To A Compact Custom Plastic Enclosure

ThermoFab, a US-based thermoforming company, has completed the delivery of Brookfield Engineering’s Powder Flow Tester – helping Brookfield move from sheet metal to a plastic enclosure with a smaller footprint and more compact design.
For over 75 years, Brookfield Engineering has been the leading manufacturer of Viscometers and Rhoemeters for laboratory and on-line process control applications. Its products are used in a broad range of applications and across many industries, including the development and production of food products; inks, paints, and other coatings; health and beauty aids; and in the packaging industry. One of the objectives for this redesign was to move away from the sheet metal housing used for previous versions while improving the level of detail in the enclosure design.
Based on sending the designs out to a number of manufacturers and a solid recommendation from Carroll Design, Brookfield chose ThermoFab for the project. “We were looking for a high end look in this new product,” said Frank Kelly, Engineering Manager at Brookfield. “And the level of detail achievable by ThermoFab – from the crisp corners to the blended surfaces to the final fit of the parts – was impressive.”
Tom King, president of ThermoFab added, “For over 30 years, we've been perfecting our proprietary process. That's why I'm confident in saying that no other thermoforming company can deliver the level of detail we can."
