Reflect Systems Branches into Retail Market with Visual Circuits to Deliver High-Impact, Point-of-Sales Content Delivery Suite
Partnership leverages best-in-class hardware, software and content management to enable retail industry to grab and hold the attention of increasingly techno-savvy clientele.
DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) February 24, 2004 -
Reflect Systems today announced ReflectViewÂ, a retail-centric module for the ReflectNet Enterprise Broadcast Network. ReflectView represents the next logical leap in technology for companies that want to broadcast high-quality video content to displays in retail outlets, theaters, lobbies, and public meeting areas. ReflectView allows users to convert existing content such as DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, MPEG 1/2, and compressed media into files that can be centrally loaded into dynamic play-lists and distributed for display to locations around the globe. As part of the ReflectNet Enterprise Broadcast Networks software suite, ReflectView takes full advantage of the capabilities within a companyÂs existing network infrastructure for distributed serving, reporting, WAN management, and centralized content control and security.
ÂTo cut through the advertising clutter constantly bombarding their customer base, retailers have to deliver content that is fresh, visually compelling and memorable. ReflectView was created to help them do that successfully, said Brian Devening, president and COO of Reflect Systems. ÂThe combination of Visual Circuits and Reflect Systems technologies creates a powerful tool to help retailers reach out to their customers at the point-of-sale with a more compelling, highly tuned message to help drive home sales.Â
ReflectView is a simple-to-use, low-cost solution for retailers that want to use high-impact content to reach customers at the point of sale, in lobbies or other high-traffic gathering areas. Customers simply add the ReflectView player module to any ReflectEdgeà device to convert it for use with standard display systems. Marketing, Corporate Communications and PR managers or agencies can centrally upload video clips, trailers, and advertisements to ReflectView and pick the location or zones where files will be played. Once the location is determined, file play-lists are created that can loop in a given order or play at specific times. The files can be played out on specific displays that can reside in as many as sixteen different zones, depending on the size of the installation.
ÂReflectView takes full advantage of our products video and graphics management and presentation capabilities, providing customers with everything they need to make any type of display screen a powerful merchandising and promotion tool, said Rob McPherson, COO of Visual Circuits. ÂThis powerful combination is already in use by Virgin Entertainment in 25 retail stores across the U. S. to provide customers with up-to-date information about new products, promotions and upcoming events on the store floor and educate employees about new programs in the back office.Â
ÂOur new lifestyle store concept demands that we deliver different types of content to the various zones within each store, and every city is a little different as far as content we might show. Having the ability to centrally configure, download and track content for all of our locations is really a huge operational advantage, said Paul Duchouquette, of Virgin Entertainment Group.
According to a recent report by industry analyst firm In-Stat/MDR, corporate users are increasingly relying on IP networks to deliver real time and ÂStore and Forward video solutions. In-Stat/MDR estimates that this market will experience a compound annual growth rate of 45.3%, to reach $2.2 billion in 2007. During this time, they expect that corporate video users, and a growing number of TV broadcast video services, will be shifting their distribution away from "live" broadcasting, to "store and forward" systems that deliver excellent performance, at dramatically lower costs.
