Ergonomics Seminar Schedule Expanded for the 2004 Calendar Year
Humantech has just announced an expanded series of ergonomics seminars to be held throughout 2004. Health and safety staff, engineers, facilities managers, and ergonomics committees can learn to maximize the benefits of an ergonomics program from HumantechÂ’s experienced, board certified ergonomists. The '04 seminar schedule covers such popular topics as industrial ergonomics, office ergonomics, and ergonomic design guidelines.

Humantech, Inc., has just announced an expanded series of ergonomics seminars to be held throughout 2004. Health and safety staff, engineers, facilities managers, and ergonomics committees can learn to maximize the benefits of an ergonomics program from HumantechÂ’s experienced, board certified ergonomists. The '04 seminar schedule covers such popular topics as industrial ergonomics, office ergonomics, and ergonomic design guidelines. Two new one-day seminars, Deploying an Effective Ergonomics Initiative and Ergonomics Awareness Train-the-Trainer, compliment the industrial ergonomics offering. Seminars will be offered in HumantechÂ’s Ann Arbor corporate headquarters training center along with locations across the United States.
According to Josh Kerst, Board Certified Professional Ergonomist and Vice President of Humantech, “These workshops are unique in the industry because of their practical hands-on approach to learning.” Participants will have the opportunity to apply tools and techniques, to make an impact on their health and safety metrics through an effective ergonomics programs.
Applied Industrial Ergonomics will be held in Irvine, Ann Arbor, and Minneapolis. This two-day seminar focuses on practical approaches to improving problem jobs in an industrial environment. Attendees will learn to evaluate workstations and equipment, identify contributing factors to work-related musculoskeletal disorders and prioritize ergonomic improvements to maximize return-on-investment.
Deploying an Effective Ergonomics Initiative, a new one-day seminar, to be held in Ann Arbor details how to establish an ergonomics process that will accelerate improvements in work-related musculoskeletal disorder rates and sustains gains for the long term. Attendees will learn to develop an infrastructure for sustained ergonomics success, plan ergonomics improvement activities, and leverage manufacturing excellence activities to accelerate ergonomics improvements.
Ergonomics Awareness Train-the-Trainer, a new one-day seminar, to be held in Ann Arbor is targeted to those responsible for raising ergonomics awareness among both new and existing employees at their facility. Upon completing the seminar the attendees will be able to conduct one-hour awareness training sessions for their frontline employees to help them understand ergonomic issues in the workplace.
Ergonomic Design Guidelines is the topic of a two-day seminar to be held in Ann Arbor, Dallas, and Nashville. Humantech trainers will guide attendees through extensive application of ergonomics assessments and problem solving methods providing hands-on, practical experience improving workstation design. Content will focus on the equipment design process, with an emphasis on simple evaluation tools and ergonomic solutions.
Applied Office Ergonomics, a one-day seminar offered in Ann Arbor and Irvine, focuses on achieving a comfortable, healthy, and productive office environment. The goal of the course is to provide participants with the tools, knowledge, and resources to achieve dramatic improvements in office productivity and health and safety through ergonomic improvements.
