eCareDiary. com (http://www. ecarediary. com/), a website devoted to supporting caregivers and seniors to coordinate long term care, will be an exhibitor at the upcoming AARP Orlando@50+ Conference (http://www. aarp. org/about-aarp/events/). The show will be filmed during the conference and will air each night on the eCareDiary. com website.
According to Baida, "We are excited to debut our new video show direct from AARP Orlando and bring valuable information to seniors and caregivers from experts in the field of aging."
Founded in 1958, AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization supporting those 50 and over to improve the quality of their lives. The AARP’s mission is to enhance the quality of life as the population ages, leading positive social change and providing information, advocacy and service. The AARP Orlando@50+ Conference features well known experts and leaders in the field of aging and eldercare, including Scott Serota, President and CEO of the BlueCross and Blue Shield Association; Whoopi Goldberg; TV personality Larry King; Reporters Robin Roberts and Jane Pauley; among others. Ms. Pauley is also an AARP Ambassador and the host of the AARP-produced series on personal reinvention for NBC’s TODAY show, “Your Life Calling.”
ECareDiary. com’s founders, the husband and wife team of Mills and Baida launched eCareDiary. com in 2009, blending their extensive backgrounds in health care, business, and as family caregivers. The website was born of their shared mission to help other families struggling to provide top-quality long term care for their loved ones. While caring for their aging relatives, John and Susan navigated the challenges and unexpected rewards that come with providing care at home.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to experience the website and register for free for the Care Diary (http://www. ecarediary. com/Login. aspx? ReturnUrl=%2fUserHome. aspx), a unique appointment and medication management tool designed to make care coordination and sharing of information easy amongst family members and other caregivers. It helps consolidate doctor appointments, medications, care visits and enables safe storage of important health records and legal documents.
ECareDiary was named a 2010 Caregiver Friendly Award recipient. Caregiver Friendly® Awards are presented by Today’s Caregiver magazine to celebrate outstanding books, media, products and services designed with the best interest of the family caregiver in mind.
