New York, NY (PRWEB) August 24, 2006

Wambui Bahati is a spirited survivor who rose to new heights even as those around her were saying her life as a productive citizen was over.

Doctors told her she would spend the rest of her life in and out of mental institutions, battling bipolar disorder. The Social Security Administration added her name to their disability rolls. How else could she pay for the eight prescription drugs those doctors told her she needed to take every day?

Bahati studied theater at New York University and made her professional debut in Godspell at Ford's Theater in Washington, D. C. She went on to perform in the Broadway productions of Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar before illness threatened to end her career.

Today, Bahati, 56, is anything but disabled. She took her last prescription drug in 1997. Her last admission to a psychiatric hospital was in 1996. For the past 10 years, she has traveled the country, performing her acclaimed one-woman musicals and presenting inspirational speeches filled with stories, songs and humor.

Most recently, Bahati has spent every spare moment between engagements at her computer, working on her new Web site, http://www. inspiration-motivation-celebration. com (http://www. inspiration-motivation-celebration. com).

“When all those people were telling me how sick I was, I got to a point where I felt life couldn’t get any worse,” recalls Bahati. “I realized I had only two options. I could live, or I could die.

“Obviously, I went with the option to live,” Bahati says with a laugh. “But when I made that decision, I told myself it would be a life lived on my own terms. Ever since, my mission has been to live a life of joy, peace and fabulous health—the best life possible!”

To fulfill her mission, Bahati became a dedicated researcher and frequent field-tester for a variety of strategies for achieving the enhanced quality of life she promised herself. Now, through inspiration-motivation-celebration. com, she shares the strategies and techniques that worked best for her as she reclaimed her health and turned her life around.

“I’ve found all sorts of creative ways to nurture my mind, body and spirit, and the web site gives me another way, besides performing and giving speeches, to share what I’ve learned,” says Bahati, affectionately called “Miss Inspiration” by her audiences.

On Monday, August 27 at 8PM (EST), she will present a free one hour telephone seminar entitled 'Release the Stigma - Rescue Your Dreams.' This seminar provides encouragement and comfort to anyone who may have at one time, or are currently living with a diagnosis of mental illness and the shame associated with it.

"I assist participants in discarding the labels that society places on us. We focus on creating our own empowering self-images - and having fun. No matter where we are on our journey, we are still spiritual beings and the essence of God." If you are interested in joining the seminar, you may sign-up on the 'seminars and workshops' page of the website.

“It’s so easy to forget how wonderful and powerful we really are,” she continues. “It’s so easy to lose touch with the ultimate power—the God or Universal Force or whatever you want to call it—that is within us all. But if we can rediscover who we really are and recognize what we are capable of doing, we naturally become healthier, happier and if we want, a lot richer, too.”

Bahati hopes, by relaxing in the site’s virtual “meditation room” or ordering from the “Universal Menu,” visitors to inspiration-motivation-celebration. com will experience the same motivation, inspiration and celebration she has successfully integrated into her own life.

“The truth is, every one of us is born with all we need to live wonderful, joyful lives. The challenge is to remember and embrace this truth. I’ve created http://www. inspiration-motivation-celebration. com (http://www. inspiration-motivation-celebration. com) to remind people of their magnificence.”
