Axial Exchange, Inc. -- the open source solution to sharing health care information -- for hospitals and doctors, payers, pharma and researchers – was awarded the Technology Industry Award for Most Innovative Technology Company” by North Carolina Technology Association.

The NCTA 21 Awards is North Carolina's most prestigious statewide technology awards program, recognizing companies and individuals who have characterized excellence, innovation and leadership. Winners were announced at the NCTA Awards Gala on November 10th.

"We were honored to be a finalist amongst a group of exciting, innovative companies, and even more thrilled to win. It is a validation of our mission to get important patient information where it needs to be, when it needs to be there,” said Joanne Rohde, Axial CEO. “We are seeing the difference immediately. Through our sponsors, WakeMed, we are connecting the Emergency Department doctors with children’s pediatricians, real-time – when the emergency occurs, and delivering follow up care recommendations. This timely information will improve the quality of care delivered to our children throughout the community.”
