Minimalist Menu is an online show that celebrates a love for cooking, music, and simplistic living. It demonstrates how to make gourmet meals in the most minimal of kitchens, using only limited ingredients and equipment. This week's broadcast shows viewers how to make healthy baked goods and talks about the benefits of going gluten-free.
For its latest episode, Minimalist Menu went to one of the leading gluten-free bakers to find out how to properly make the switch from wheat. Julia Hellerman from Adaba Foods, a Boulder, CO based chef, co-hosts this episode and demonstrates how to make Sprouted Lemon Poppyseed Bread. The recipe for the dish can be found on www. minimalistmenu. com
"I had a blast filming the show. Minimalist Menu took care of everything so we could just relax and cook on the day of filming; it was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with the co-hosts!" commented Julia Hellerman.
"Most Americans consume too much wheat, and many of those individuals have intolerances to gluten, which is found in wheat products," says Lauren Lubin, the show's co-host and Certified Natural Chef. "It is in everyone's best interest to switch to a gluten-free diet, and this episode provides a good introduction to the topic"
Minimalist Menu has distinct timing given the state of the economy. In these tough times people are forced to make cuts and compromise their normal way of life, however their health and diet do not have to be compromised.
This show is different from traditional broadcasts because it puts an emphasis on eating healing foods while on a budget, features original music by Charisse, co-host, and takes place in varying locations and settings depending on where the hosts are either hitting the court or the stage.
