Twin River Technologies Natural Ingredients changes name to FINA LLC
Cincinnati-based lipid technologies company also appoints new CEO

Twin River Technologies Natural Ingredients (TRTNI), the Cincinnati, Ohio-based lipid technologies company, has announced a name change to FINA LLC. The new name announcement comes after news of the company’s ownership transfer, effective December 2009, from Twin Rivers Technologies, Quincy, Mass., to Felda IFFCO Sdn Bhd (FISB), Malaysia, a joint venture between the Felda Group of Malaysia and IFFCO Group of United Arab Emirates. The name FINA is an acronym for Felda IFFCO North America and represents the extensive global resources FINA will offer the North American market as a leading provider of molecular lipid modification technologies for industrial and consumer applications.
FINA has also announced the appointment of Josipa Paska to the position of chief executive officer for the company. Ms. Paska moves from her role as vice president/general manager of Health and Wellness for TRTNI. Leading FINA into 2010 and beyond, Ms. Paska is charged with focusing state-of-the-art production facilities and advanced oleochemical expertise in the development of a range of Omega-3 Concentrates as nutritional supplements and pharmaceutical applications; Specialty Oils and Fats for the food, confectionary and nutrition industries; and Sucrose Polyesters for food, cosmetics and green industrial applications.
The facility, a former Procter & Gamble sucrose polyester operation, is also home to one of the country’s largest biodistillate plants, which has the ability to produce water-like high-stability Biodiesel for replacement of petroleum-based components in environmentally sound applications.
“FINA is uniquely positioned as a specialized processor of edible oils and fats and oleochemical products to invigorate the North American fats and oils industry,” said Ms. Paska. “ We have an innovative management team supported by substantial new investments and the well-stabilized FISB.”
