New York, NY (PRWEB) September 11, 2008
The National Traders Charity Foundation (NTCF) announced today that on October 6th, 2008 the foundation will be hosting a capital introduction & capital raising event for traditional asset managers and hedge fund managers.
Where: NASDAQ Marketsite, 4 Times Square
When: October 6th, 2008 (Monday) 6:00PM to 9:00PM
What: A capital introduction & capital raising event for traditional asset managers and hedge fund managers. Proceeds from sponsor donations will go to benefit charities that help children and families in need.
The event, Raise-The-Bar, "is a very unique event; a wine tasting mixer that will also serve as an informational forum for both asset managers and investors." Says Scott F. Carotenuto, Executive Director of the National Traders Charity Foundation, a NY based charitable nonprofit organization. Carotenuto goes on to say "we (the foundation) set our sights on hosting an event that would not only be informative, fun and conducive to networking, but one that would not require attendees to leave their offices during normal U. S. trading hours. The solution is Raise-The-Bar, a charitable wine tasting event where institutional investors and asset managers come together for an evening of fun, facts, finance and philanthropy."
The event is set to take place at the NASDAQ Marketsite in the heart of Times Square at 43rd and Broadway (http://www. nasdaq. com/reference/marketsite_about. stm (http://www. nasdaq. com/reference/marketsite_about. stm))]. The Marketsite serves as the epicenter for NASDAQ news and events; each day MarketSite hosts some of the world's most prestigious business leaders to preside over the NASDAQ Market open. "The NASDAQ Marketsite offers a unique experience for attendees. It is a very cool and interesting building, and offers the perfect environment for this unique capital introduction event" adds Carotenuto.
The event is designed to allow emerging and established managers to meet and greet various institutional investors including fund-of-funds, trading pools, alternative asset investors, asset allocators, investment advisors, pension funds representatives and other qualified investors in a unique networking environment; all while doing something tom help children and families in need throughout NYC and other parts of the country. Anthony Katsingris, Chief Operating Officer for Albert Fried & Company, LLC says "We are delighted to sponsor this very unique event where managers can enjoy various wines and hors d'oeuvres with potential investors in a casual setting while discussing their funds and investment strategies."
