Los Angeles-based American Career College donates three nursing school full tuition grants on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 20, 2005

On the Sunday, December 11, 2005 episode of ABC’s popular Extreme Makeover Home Edition, which featured the complete renovation of the Los Angeles Free Clinic’s Hollywood facility, American Career College (ACC) was instrumental in transforming the lifelong dreams of three dedicated clinic staff members into reality.

When David Pyle, CEO and President of American Career College, heard from Extreme Makeover about the three young women working at the Los Angeles Free Clinic who had been dreaming about careers in nursing, he took the opportunity to help them achieve their dreams and help the L. A. community at the same time. He donated three tuition grants to Leticia Lozano, Nyree Morales, and Yorlene Lara. Furthermore, ACC is responding to Southern California hospitals and clinics that are in the middle of a dramatic shortage of nurses by continuing to train individuals in this field.

David Pyle is proud of American Career College’s efforts to provide excellent opportunities for those who wish to pursue health care careers while helping to satisfy the growing need for health care professionals to solve health issues for current and future Southern Californians.

Pyle observes, “Someday I…or one of my children will need a competent and caring nurse to help us. The more opportunities we create and provide through ACC, the better the chance that when that time comes, the reassuring smile and efficient care may come from an American Career College Graduate.”

The ABC network will re-broadcast the L. A. Free Clinic episode on Thursday, December 22 from 8:00-10:00 PM PST. The L. A. Free Clinic provides free health care services to individuals without health insurance. Clinic officials estimate the Clinic receives 80,000 annual visits to its three Los Angeles-area clinics.
