Austin is the home of several names of note in golf history. 1984 Masters Champion Ben Crenshaw is a life-time resident. Bechtol Russell Golf, the renowned golf design firm, is headquartered here. All proceeds go to CASA of Travis County, an organization that provides special advocates for abused and neglected children. Since 1985, this charity has helped children in Austin and Travis County. Court-appointed Special Advocates make recommendations on the child's behalf and assist the children with finding therapy, healthcare and education so as to stop the cycle of abuse, ultimately giving these children a real fighting chance at a future.
