Microscan, a global technology leader for track and trace solutions, announces it will showcase an extensive range of machine vision and auto ID products at the upcoming VISION 2010 Trade Fair, scheduled to take place November 9 to11, at the Stuttgart New Exhibition Centre in Stuttgart, Germany. Microscan will actively demonstrate multiple products in Hall 6, Booth D43, including machine vision lighting, machine vision hardware and software, and auto ID barcode products.
As a global technology leader for precision data acquisition and control solutions, Microscan manufactures a comprehensive line of products encompassing vision, lighting and auto ID. “It is clear that the technologies required to support auto ID and machine vision applications are merging,” notes Andrew Zosel, Global Vice President of Marketing. “Recent safety and product recalls have emphasized the need for both the traceability provided by auto ID systems, and the inspection and control of machine vision systems. Microscan is one of the few manufacturers which can provide complete solutions encompassing auto ID and machine vision.”
Recent Microscan vision product releases include the VS-1 Track and Trace, NERLITE® HI-BRITE, and Visionscape® 4.1 software with color matching. The VS-1 Track and Trace is a complete vision inspection solution for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and other packaging applications. This label inspection system features a smart camera, integrated lighting and powerful machine vision tools to read barcodes, verify text, and inspect packaging. The new NERLITE® HI-BRITE machine vision lights provide the brightest LED illumination in their class, along with an easy web-based controller. Visionscape® is a scalable, single-software package that can be used for both GigE solutions and smart cameras, and the 4.1 upgrade includes new features such as color matching and color segmentation. Color matching can be used in high-speed applications such as sorting parts, and color segmentation enables other tools to be applied in a specific color plane.
Recent Microscan auto ID product releases include improved solutions for 1D and 2D barcode reading, such as the QX Hawk industrial imager with expanded capabilities and three megapixel resolution available in the MINI Hawk compact imager.
From basic barcode reading up to complex machine vision inspection, identification, and measurement, Microscan remains committed to continuous innovation and development to meet market and customer needs for quality product solutions to track, trace and control applications.
