April Hawkinson has joined Futuredontics, Inc., operator of the highly recognizable 1-800-DENTIST® dental referral service, as corporate controller. In this role, her primary responsibilities will include monthly financials, financial analysis and serving as an active member of the company’s executive management team.
Prior to joining Futuredontics, Hawkinson was a senior auditor at the international public accounting firm of Ernst & Young in Los Angeles. In the assurance and advisory business services division at Ernst & Young, she performed audits of a variety on companies including internet, retail and manufacturing firms. Her significant clients included Futuredontics, Homestore®, Overture Services, Inc. (prior to the Yahoo!® acquisition) and Ticketmaster.
A California-certified public accountant, Hawkinson received a bachelorÂ’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Boston College and a masterÂ’s degree in accountancy from the University of Virginia.
