Democrat Kelly Skidmore is a candidate for the Florida House seat for District 90 (includes parts of both Palm Beach and Broward county). Having worked 10 years as State Senator Ron Klein's administrative assistant, she feels she has the vast amount of experience necessary to "hit the ground running" and not have to waste valuable time learning on the job. She has built relationships in Tallahassee and across the state, enabling her to be the most effective legislator for her constituents.
Kelly discusses her views on the 3 most important issues facing the legislature in 2007, private property insurance, healthcare and education. She also talks about the importance of making public transportation available to more citizens, "we can't build our way out of I-95 grid lock, we are at or near capacity. We need a strong feeder system for Tri-Rail." Kelly also intensely stresses the necessity of a public awareness campaign on living wills and end of life decisions.
