The Herbal Faire, hosted by the Healing Arts Collective, will be held the weekend of May 1 and 2 at Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Among the noted speakers will be world-renowned author and herbalist Susun S. Weed.

If you think there's a choice between orthodox medicine and alternative treatments, think again. The MD and the ND are strikingly similar. There is a third way: the invisible ways of the Wise Woman tradition -- a dramatically different approach to health and healing. This is the Tradition Susun teaches from. Her early talk on May 2 will describe the different approaches to health, the two you are most familiar with, and the third which may strike an even deeper chord of familiarity.

Following this talk and lunch, Susun will delve further to explore the roots of nutrition. Confused about food? Eating well is simple when you know which nutrient-dense foods to choose. Find out how easy it is to integrate nourishing herbs into your diet. Discover the importance of dietary fat and the benefits of chocolate. Learn about the health-negative effects of supplements, tofu, sprouts, and raw foods. Following digestion from start to end, Susun will help you discover the simple secrets of optimum nutrition, beyond rules, beyond heroics.

“The Three Traditions of Healing” will be held at the Herbal Faire on May 2, 2004, from 10am-12 noon. “Optimum Nutrition, Beyond Heroics” will be there on the same day, after lunch, from 1pm-3pm.
