In Celebration of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Awareness Day

The Optimal Health Center is offering FREE Acupuncture Treatments with Donations Supporting Calistoga Community Pool Project.

Friday, October 24th, noon-6 PM

Optimal Health Center, 2436 Foothill Blvd, Suite D, Calistoga

Dr. Christopher Henderson, N. D., L. Ac. announces a special day of oriental medical diagnosis and acupuncture treatments Oct 24 to celebrate Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Awareness Day and to benefit a local community project. The event takes place from noon to 6pm at the Optimal Health Center at 2436 Foothill Blvd, Suite D. Proceeds will go to the Calistoga Community Pool Project.

Serving the communityÂ’s health care needs, Dr. Henderson will offer 30 minutes diagnosis and acupuncture treatments ($50 value) designed to help the body release stress and tension.

This benefit event will provide a traditional pulse and tongue assessment followed by either an ear or body acupuncture treatment.

“It is a pleasure to be able to give back to the local community,” said Dr. Henderson of this effort to support Calistoga’s plans to build a community pool.

Acupuncture, an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, can help remove blockages in the bodyÂ’s energetic pathways. Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine is an effective means of helping to restore health to an imbalanced body.

Dr. Henderson, Director of Optimal Health Center, earned his Naturopathic Doctorate from WashingtonÂ’s Bastyr University where he also earned his Master of Science degree in acupuncture and a certification in Chinese herbal medicine. He is a licensed acupuncturist and a diplomat in acupuncture.

Although all services will be offered free of charge, donations are encouraged and all proceeds from this event will benefit this worthwhile cause.

Appointments are required. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call 707-942-1250.
