Schnader attorney Samuel W. Silver receives membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers in recognition of his professional achievements and conduct.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) December 11, 2007
Schnader attorney Samuel W. Silver has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in America. The induction ceremony at which Mr. Silver became a Fellow took place at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the College held recently in Denver, Colorado.
"We could not be more proud of Sam," said Chairman Ralph Wellington. "This wonderful honor only serves to confirm what has been known to so many of us for so long - that Sam is a dedicated, top-notch litigator who gets positive results for his clients and who is well-respected among his peers."
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Members are considered to have mastered the art of advocacy, with professional careers marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Fellowship is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation, and requires that an attorney be actively engaged in trial work as their principal activity for a minimum of 15 years.
Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently more than 5,000 members throughout the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction), and Honorary Fellows. The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice, and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers (http://www. schnader. com) are called to the Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice, both those who represent plaintiffs and those that represent defendants in civil matters, as well as those who prosecute and those who defend individuals accused of crime. Because of this diversity in its membership, the College is able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.
